Thanks for this! Place I took my bumper too PC the swivel after asking them not to. Currently trying to take the PC off and wasn’t sure if the bottom bearing goes to the base of that swivel. So far I got it about 75% down. Looks like I’m going home to sand some more.
They also painted the inside of the Swing out where the bearing go, hope that doesn’t pose a problem…?

Can anyone recommend a compatible flip up license plate holder for the high clearance rear bumper? The Pilot FLP001 that I see others used isn't available anymore. I did install this one temporarily - https://www.amazon.com/AMOPA-Stainless-Flip-Up-Fairlead-Mounted/dp/B09Q7VYF4Y?crid=2ZYKLDTEXKXJK but it doesn't have clearance to flip up all the way.

I haven't seen any that flip 180. FWIW I have one and it hasn't been an issue for me. You're not often nosed down and winching up unless you're stuck in a bog hole or something. I figured if it's ever hindering a recovery I would just bend the license plate out of the way or take a minute and take it off

After trying a few different flip up license plate holders, none of which were to my satisfaction, I decided to go the route a fellow member did, and will be sticking on some strong magnets to the back of my plate with some automotive tape, and using the magnets to mount. then I can just move it elsewhere on my bumper when I need the hitch.

That's definitely one route I hadn't considered. I have a backup camera integrated into my license plate holder, so it's a little harder to relocate due to the cord. Luckily I don't have an immediate need for the hitch, but it bugs me that I don't have a ready solution.

Has anyone with a 3rd gen figured out a way to stabilize the front grill area? It rattles around like crazy and kinda drives me nuts. Before I try to figure something else out on my own I wanted to see if others had already done it.

I'll be installing a high clearance rear on my 2nd gen in 2 weeks. What does everyone use for trim to cover the bottom edge of the fender after cutting it?

i'm rawdogging it on my truck. have been for the last 2 years, no issues. but I'm also in SoCal where rust is barely a concern.

i've heard from some people that edge trim can trap moisture and propagate rust. which would be a concern for me in this location, since it would be installed on raw metal.

Also rawdogging it. Billy recommended against using edge trim for the reasons mentioned above. I'd meant to paint the exposed metal, but never got around to it.
