because if its only two or three of us then it might be better to wait it out but if its 10 or 15 etc then its time to try to get money back.. we cant even get our bumpers as of now anyway let alone a phone call so what makes you think he would get our money back to us..either way you have your bumper so whats it matter to you

Exactly..we can't get ahold of him to get refunds...and PayPal doesn't let you dispute charges that are 8 months old.

I was going to say just dispute it on paypal. I don't think many of these guys have actually made it 8 months. Maybe 5 or 6. But I don't know what the limit is on paypal for that.

Sad to see all this happen. Billy was an awesome guy to talk to back in the day. Back then he was busy as hell from doing his first group buys and now combine that with his family issues, I understand he doesn't have any free time. I knew he should have gotten help with the shop but doesn't look like that ever happened. Extremely talented/nice guy but seems working alone has bit him in the butt. :pout:

The apollo F6 is an exterior surface mount light. They make apollo's that are meant for interior lighting as well. Mine have been hanging off the back of my truck for a good while now and have no issues.

On the subject of the payments, if you paid with a credit card (even through paypal), then you should be able to dispute the charge through the credit card holder. Get your money back and find another vendor.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
    1.Yota4Whelz-paid $625-ordered front and rear
2.Burntorange817- paid 1,005 -ordered front bumper
    3. STiLL WILL - standard rear bumper [DEPOSIT PLACED JULY 23, 2014!]

So, via phone call then Paypal shortly after, I put down a deposit for a standard read bumper with Billy @ Brute Force....this was on July 23. He told me the wait would be "around 8-9 weeks" which was TOTALLY fine, and he said he would keep me updated on my order.

Fast forward to now, November 5, and I have yet to receive a single response from Billy even after leaving him messages on BOTH his phone numbers (phone listed on his website & the number he called me from) as well as sending an email to him---I did all of this 2 weeks ago.

It's now going on 12+ weeks of production time since my deposit---but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the absolute LACK of communication back from him.

Family hardship is definitely something I don't take lightly, but as stated above, if you have clientele spending THOUSANDS of $'s on your products you at least have to uphold your side of the communication. I don't care if it's a "Hey, my Dad's not doing so well I can't get to your ________ you ordered at the moment, and I am not sure when I will be back on it" email/voicemail/text I DONT CARE--- AS LONG AS YOU LET WAITING CUSTOMERS KNOW.

Hell, even a POST on here updating us would help. SOMETHING!

At this point, I am throughly disappointed in the communication side of Brute Force. Billy is an awesome guy on the phone and I've seen first hand his products so those are not in question. A bit more effort on the communication would be greatly appreciated, however.

You guys are crazy for waiting 6+ months!

I do have some BFF sliders that I purchased locally from a member here in AK.
I would not recommend anyone to buy them though after all of these horror stories.

Haha true, but I would never put all my payment in knowing I would have to wait 6+ months. Bad business practice. Now I smaller down payment I get.

    5. Lateralus- $525 for Rear. Ordered 2/27

On the refund, as others have stated. PayPal will only allow claims to be submitted with in 45 Days. Also you can't file any claims against "Custom Work". So the only real option is to file in small claims court. So saying "Just get a refund" is not as easy as you think.

I'm only hesitant to go this rout as I have front bumper from Billy. He did an outstanding job on it. I'm a patient person. But this is unacceptable now.

My last contact with him was on June 26th. He emailed me saying " Bumper almost done. Just want to go over a few things via phone. I was extremely busy at the time and couldn't talk on the day.

Since then, multiple emails and phone calls every month. Nothing in return..

It's an unfortunate situation all of us are in. I'm willing to give a couple weeks 12/1 for any kind of response. After that I will be taking action to get my money back.

Yeah surprisingly. I emailed him via his website form on 7/22, then he called me literally the next day(7/23) to talk about my order and go over the deposit requirements. We must've bs'd for a good hour before too.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to see mine within 19 weeks.

So I guess I will add to the death toll as well. On March 27th, I gave him 1500 dollars as a down payment for a front and rear bumper. I have a 2005 tundra, so this was going to be a complete custom job. One that he was more than willing to take on. On August 21st, we spoke on the phone for about 15 minutes. At which time he informed me about his dad. He al;so sent me pictures of my completed rear bumper. We left the call saying that we would speak again in a month. Since than, nothing.Nada.Zilch.Zippo. just like all the rest of you. I don't know where all of the rest of you live but I am in San Diego. I am going to give Billy until December 1st to call me. If I do not hear from him at this time, I am going to be contacting the District Attorney of Fresno County. Since I am not the only person who has a lot of money tied up with Billy, I suggest you all PM me so you can be named in the lawsuit as well. This has gone on long enough and personal issues or not, this is not how business is done.
