Got off the phone with him a bit ago. Super cool guy! Said that if the parts are already cut lead time could be cut in half! probably order a lot sooner haha

Who has a high clearance with the swing out tire carrier? I would like to know how easy it is to unbolt the swing out and just run it like a standard high clearance.

Idea being to use the Baja style tiregate with the HC.

    Thoughts?

Heres mine. I'd rather just leave it on because it's kinda a snug fit and did you might mess up the bearing.20150717_154154.jpg20150715_085903.jpg 20150715_141237.jpg

Billy and I were talking today about bed rack solutions for people with tonneau covers.

After a long while of deciding that probably wasn't the best way to go, we ended it.

I just thought of a great idea though. Tell me what you guys think.

Most people on here know about Prinsu Roof Racks. Well I have their AccessRac on my cab and love the look of the combo of that with the top rack.

For a long time I debated on getting a camper shell. I always liked the look of softoppers though. I want something that can fit taller items than the tonneau and a place for my dogs to sleep when camping.

So I'm gonna ask Billy if he can build a skeleton to reinforce the inside of the softopper. Then, cut some holes in the top and seal them up with some kind of seal in order to mount a top rack on the softopper.

What do you guys thinK? I think billy could do it easy.

Like this but the skeleton inside and with a Prinsu Rack.

Check out @HomerTaco he has a leer 100xq shell with a rtt mounted on top with no problems. I've pmed him before because I have the same shell and I've been debating on getting a rtt and if my shell can support the weight with me and my gf sleeping on it. One day :D

Only down side of that is it will eat up valuable cargo space. When I had my Bestop, I was thinking about something along those lines but on the outside of the top only using plate instead of tube. Something that kept low and close to the top but kept the lines of the top .

Paint is now done! Now to let dry and install!
Color matched Timberland mica, bed lined from the midpoint down. Lol, such a hard color capture in a photo, but I think it came out pretty nice.
