You look a little off Camber in the 4th shot, is that on purpose?

Well I don't know about ninja—you can definitely hear them—but they are definitely far far quieter than they look like they'll be.

I'm also pleased with the ride of the E. I was a bit concerned about that, but it is fine.

The stock SR5 suspension is not up to the task of effectively managing all the additional weight, however. Can't wait to sort out my suspension.

Another thing, I've gotten PM's from two different members asking how easy it was to get them balanced so I'll post the answer here in case anyone else wants to know to save them from having to wait on me to reply.

I used Hutchinson Rock Monster headlock wheels. They are a three piece design that quite literally bolts together front to back with a dual bead locking band sandwiched in between. Instead of external weights, I poured an 8oz bag of Dyna balance beads into each wheel set and then went to work with my air wrench. Once bolted together they were mounted up and I've been driving on them ever since. No special machines or processes required, which was the second reason I chose these specific wheels.

Neither. I trimmed the lower plastic lip on the fender flare and pinned back the fender well lining (the really thin plastic stuff). I bought CMC plates, but have not needed them yet. I've had my suspension cycled through and have only come into contact with the flender flares under severe flex when off-road. No contact whatsoever during normal daily driving. I came from mud terrains though (Cooper STT in 285/70-17) and direct comparison of my worn down tires to the Maxxs only puts these slightly larger (talking 1/2" in width and height). I did have my alignment guy try to push the wheels as far forward as possible while remaining in spec. Small adjustment, but it worked. I couldn't even tell you my alignment numbers but I don't care -tires are wearing evenly and truck tracks straight. I'll find out though as I'm going in for a quick alignment later this week since I gave my suspension a once over recently for torque values.

That's good to hear! I'm going to have the same conversation with my shop just push the alignment forward a bit if need be but I'm stilling going for the CMC. Not sure if the pinch weld will even come into play as it doesn't stick out as far as the CM but I'll also be removing the well splash guards for good measure. I'm going batty trying to get the truck in.
Been waiting on a minor item from Camburg but they said just mount the UCA without the caps and I should be good as long as I'm not wheeling. So next Wednesday is the day I'll definitely be posting pics. Also still waiting on Allpro for u bolt flip with timbren bumps

I bought the CMC plates because I though I would need them as well, but like I said compared to my 33s, the 295s weren't that much larger, and I've had no problems.

You running Camburg uniball UCAs? Make sure to get the TriFlow Drylube and spray the ball down (top and bottom) while you wait for the cover. Just added piece of mind. DO NOT use WD-40 or any other synthetic grease or lube. It will actually suck small debris into the uniball Teflon coating in the control arm and that will cause premature wear and the horrendous squeak everyone complains about.

I actually grabbed the Moog Balljoint UCA. Up here in the northeast with the salt and this and that uniballs would be a disaster but I made notes on this in case I swap over so thank you!

You got pics of your 295s?!

No pics mounted on the truck itself, but here's the teaser shot I posted a while back when I got back from having my 5th wheel wrapped.

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. I'll see if I can get a full shot of the truck for you in a bit, but you really can't tell the difference of the 295s and the 285s. I'm just happy with the slightly wider footprint and quieter ride. Getting too old for mud terrains....

Got the call to come pick up my Taco. They said the 255/85/16 ST Maxx will not fit under the truck.

Here she is!! Only hit 55mph but she rides great. Did notice a little steering wheel shake. Had that before too tough. They did road force balance as well.

With 886s I'm showing 22 3/4" driver side and 23" passenger center of hub to fender.

Said and done it was $464 (had a $100 Visa gift card someone gave me too!)
    $75 Alignment
    $300 install of 886's (I provided parts)
    $60 - Mount/Road Force Balance 5 wheels and tires.
Greased all 5 zerks on drivetrain - No Charge. (Told me they only took half to one full squeeze throughout.)
Also got their ears on the front diff for me and said it sounds fine (I had TSB done couple months ago)

Truck looks great. Looks like the 886's brought the front end up nicely.
