I had no balance problems with the Coopers. The problem with the Duratracs is the tire casings are poor quality and mine were simply not round. You can balance an egg but it will still roll like an egg ;)

I Absolutely love this tire.. quiet, smooth, handles well. I have 265/75/16 E rated which I saw was lots having trouble loosing MPG but I have not noticed any MPG loss.. I also let off the gas a lot and coast.. I have had BFG, Mastercraft, Goodyear, and by far this is the best tire I have had. I will be buying these tires again and again.

I'm deciding what I want to do to them too. I like the emblems but don't want the trouble of cleaning around them

I haven't had an issue with my emblems.. I just use a tooth brush.. like I did with the stocks.. they are super glued on..no issues and had them for a year like that..

Drove on some snow/ice covered roads today! Only about 5 miles and when I left it was all melted off... Anyway, on the way up I was 2wd twist and turns and felt no slipping. I felt a bit nervous at some of the speeds trying to break the truck loose and it held surprisingly well and beyond what o though they would do... Still to early to tell but the few miles felt really good.
the narrower 255's may have played a part due to the type of snow I was on as well

Thanks for the update. I talk to the local 4x4 shop and found out that there are several companies here in the far NW of ND that put the ST Maxx on all their company rigs with great results on snow.

I asked if the sipe them and he said there is no need. :notsure:

Looking forward to more reports, I'll post when I here more.

Does anyone have issues with these picking up small stones or gravel?

My duratracs hold gravel and spits it out on the highway which is no good cause of the people behind me.

I was actually concerned about this at my last house because we had the two parking spots for my girlfriend and I landscaped with stone. It was a smaller stone called "local stone" that I thought for sure would be getting stuck in my tires and I'd be spreading them down the street. To my surprise it was minimal. I think because the maxx have such an open tread design that the stone wouldn't actually get stuck..

That's first hand experience with small stone, now the place I just moved to has slightly larger mixed stone to park on and I still have not had a prob yet.

Our driveway is coated in "2B" limestone. Basically nickel sized stone. I get several stuck every time I drive in and out of the house. Could be worse but they do throw them. At times when I'm 2 miles down the road.
