Just ordered a new set of 255/80 for my new scs sr-8's. Anyone have to do anything other than remove the mud flaps on the front to get them to fit? I am sitting around 2.5" in the front with icon coilovers and TC UCA's. Sitting 1.5" in the back on Dakars. Can't wait to get these bitches mounted.

With the set up I have, mud flaps are off and that's it. But when turned completed and hitting a dip, I rub the inside of my fender flare. Basically at the corner where the kid flap used to be mounted.

So far, I do. They ride very smooth and don't pull to the side like the Toyo's did.

I've been looking at this size too. Did you have to special order the 285-75? I know it's a new size. Looks good tho

    Thank you!
I did have to order them in, but only because they weren't in stock. I don't think they are special order. Only took 5 days to get them in. I tried a set of Nitto's in a 295 first and they had to order those too, same delivery time.

For the longest time I was set on getting 255/80s. But with I'm looking to get tires this month or next, Discount Tire is running the $100 off a $400 purchase on eBay right now, plus free shipping. They're out of stock on 255/80s naturally

But they do have 285/70s. I have All Pro UCAs, KING EXT 2.5s up front, Dakar leafs and installing KING 2.0 12" with BAMF relocate out back soon. What is the biggest difference in the 285 vs 255? I know the 285 is a little over 1" wider, so I may have to run some spacers on my wheels (SCS RAY10) so they wont rub the rear KINGs.

Any more load to pushing the 285s over the 255s?

No spacers needed but you will need a cab mount chop

Are those the "Texas Edition" wheels? Last time I was home I saw some but never had an opportunity to talk to any of the owners to ask them.

They come on the TSS package but I've also seen them on the Texas edition sometimes. Mines a TRD OR but it had them on it for some reason. I haven't found anything I like better yet.

Culpeper! Nice! Yeah I'm having trouble recommending any other tire. I certainly won't be buying any other in the near future. I have a set on the taco and now one the 4Runner.

Anyone here running the 305 70 16's? I wonder how they compare to the 285's 75 16 in terms of added rubbing..
