Good so far. We have a frozen glaze on the roads this evening, the tires did really well. I tried a few panic stops and aggressive acceleration, they hooked right up and were responsive (grippy) to letting off the throttle when I broke traction.

Same here. Way more grip than the 285 Nittos I just replaced. My Maxxs are 255/85. Kinda miss the wide look but love the skinny function.

Really digging mine as well. Same glaze down here, and I'm pretty sure I'd have to drive like an asshole to get them to break loose.

Well, yeah. There is that :p

I'm just super pleased with them so far, and I'm stoked that it's looking like they will do just fine over the winters here.

IMG_6005.jpg Mounted the ST Maxxs 5 days ago. 255/85-16. Very impressed with how quiet they are on road and how much grip they have off road.

Heads up to those who just got these. I checked the pressure on my tires today. I've got about 4K miles. I was down about 5.5 lbs all the way around. Tempature is cooler now so I imagine that's the culprit. I aired them up to 34lbs and am going to monitor them and see if anything changes.

Anyone think the 265/70 17 s/t maxx is too heavy for the 2016 2.7L Access Cab?

Got a buddy that likes the tires I have but he has the 4 cylinder. Advised him to maybe go with the KO 2's as they are about 45lbs. The Coopers are 55lbs.

Those 10lbs would probably be noticeable.

It would be noticeable...but i imagine he has the steel sr5 wheels too? They are 29lbs a piece. Going to a lighter aluminum wheel would help even that weight a tiny bit.

My truck doesn't feel that much slower with alloys and 32s than it did with steelies and 30s

Both combos are 80lbs per corner.

these things are just amazing. me and some other members were really surprised how well they hooked up this weekend. no struggling or wheel spin whatsoever.

Well I've got ~33k miles on them. Chunked, sliced, and just beat to hell but they still perform like new, both on and off-road. Great tire!
