By any chance do you remember your caster number? I just looked at my alignment sheet and my new caster is 2.2* left and 2.0* right

Hmm, yeah your caster is definitely more than mine. I got the TC UCAs and even on their instruction sheet it said that the caster is acceptable between 3.5 and 6. I guess I'll have to call back the Toyota dealership and see if they can redo it.

I'm looking for tires for my DCLB Sport. I'm torn between the ST Max and the cooper AT/W. I live in New England and drive regularly on snow and ice coverd roads. Just wondering how these perform in these conditions.

I'm thinking of running 255/80 or 255/75 on the factory 17 inch wheels with no lift. Any one have this set up that can post some pics or tell me about rubbing and gas mileage stuff?

Thank you. Just wanted to make sure they weren't gonna become ice skates in small amounts of snow.

So far, the only thing they don't work in is ice...and no tire works in ice. But these are studable and i'm sure they'd be impressive with studs on ice

    I'm on St Maxx

You'll have no problems running the 255/75. It's a 32in tall tire and I'm running the 265/75 16's which are a series wider and just as tall. I lost 1.5-2mpg over the stick Goodyears but that was expect. These tires are difficult to puncture but that durability comes at an expense of overall weight.

Thanks for the input. I was considering 265's but decided on the 255 for less weight and better snow traction. A loss of 1.5-2mpg is a big hit in a small truck that averages a terrible 18mpg already.

Can you comment on the ride quality. Is it drastically more rough or just slightly more. Also I've heard of people having trouble with the tires pulling to the right. Have you noticed any issues?

    Thanks for your feed back.

I think you need a watermark too.

But I do need some larger sized ones for my work computer

I honestly can't give any real feedback over stock because the Maxxes were on the truck 48 hours after I bought it.

I'll get them edited, hopefully tuesday or wednesday and upload them to Flickr. Then i'll link you. Flickr allows you to choose what size you want to download them as.

A watermark? Believe me, i've thought of it lol. Just haven't made one.

On hardpacked snow/ice these tires aren't great but they definitely did way better than I thought they would. But in actual snow these tires kick ass, I just spent the weekend driving in the snow that is/was hitting the PNW and never had a worry about getting stuck. I drove down one road that was bumper deep(snow going over the hood at times) and these tires just kept chugging along like there was nothing there, I was super impressed.

Can anyone confirm the proper rotation/direction for the st maxx. Browsing through the thread....im seeing setups in both directions.

Reason for my question is...i have all 4 tires installed in the same direction, which results in the right side and left side being different....so i need to get 2 of them switched.
