The tread pattern is the same in either direction.

Maxx's are not directional tires. I've always used the "fronts cross going back, rears roll straight forward" pattern. My last set lasted about 60,000 miles. ....

Nice! I'm trying to get myself to jump on a set of these when I replace my Duratracs, but I'm on track for nearly 60k out of them and am not sure if the Coopers would get me nearly that far.

Had the Duratracs before my ST Maxx. I really liked the Duratracs, but the Maxx are so much better in every aspect from road to trail. Even as good in snow i would say even though they don't have the 3 snow snowflake symbol.

Nice! do you think they'll last as long as your Duratracs did?

I've never had a problem on any wet road wether it be standing water or just like rain wet.

But mine are studded so that probably helps a bit.

I find it hard to break traction (even if I try) with these tires in rain, and on wet pavement after rain.
If you'd like to see them in person Chris, I'm local.

Yes. I think so. I had duratracs that I got second hand and I got 50k out of them and can still get plenty more... i have 10k on my coopers and they still look brand new...

Had my ST Maxx almost a full year. Mounted March 22nd, 2016 with 12,258 miles on the truck. I'm close to 26k miles now on the truck. So nearly 14k miles on the tires. This includes a pretty rough 5 days in Moab (needed trimming... lost some chunks out of tires from rubbing).

We had the "coldest January in 40 years" here in Montana this year. Below zero and single digit temps (which means hard rubber) and snow packed and icy roads. These tires have served me very well. If I'm in 4H I drive the interstate at 75 as if it was a normal day. Dead stop starts at icy stop lights are fine.

Mine are 255/85/16's. Tall and Skinny. Went snow wheeling recently with some Jeeps. Most of them had 285 or 315 width tires (various brands). I didn't do any worse than them in some crappy snow conditions (nearly zero traction - the snow was like marbles).

I've off-roaded in Moab, forest service trails, and deep snow at 15psi with no problem.

I've got the STT Pro - nothing but impressed. Handle like a charm and drive straight. Awesome in the snow (comparing to toyo M/T) the rubber doesn't cut or rip when wheeling in rocks and mud. Will never buy another tire. Where I needed lockers before, I can go comfortably with 4x. Y'all should consider them.
