Those are great numbers. Was the alignment tech able to achieve those from the UCAs alone or did he adjust the LCAs too? Not sure if the 4Runner's cam bolts are known to seize as well?

@TacoJeep92 is a distributor and got me my 285/75/17 Maxxs. He can prob add some insight..

Thanx. I had about 65K+ miles on my first set. Tread was even on all 4 tires. Had them at 38-45psi most of the time on road, sometimes I'd have them aired down to 20psi for beach driving and keep them like that while driving on road knowing I'd be back and forth on the beach through the week during fishing season. I really had no rhyme to my reasons but the Maxxs held up great to everything I threw at them, both off road and on road. That's why I'm on my 3rd set of Maxxs. Second set of 255/80/17s I had for a short period of time, I sold them to @Nimble9 to upgrade to the 285/75/17s.

Good to know they're highly adaptable. This is my first Load E tire and I'm leaning towards giving them a tad bit more psi because of it (35-40psi range). And I thought they'd be stiffer than they are at 32psi so this is all good news to me. Thanks.

Okay awesome man will try that out. I wanted a printout to bring them for reference. Also what tred mounts for the roof rack are those?? I just bought a set of red tred 800s and I want something that is lockable. Was thinking of getting 1 single tred pro mount (has a padlock capability) and calling it good but that looks decent too if i dont keep them on all the time.

Getting the 255/80/R17 ST Maxx's mounted up either today or tomorrow. Will see how puny they look compared to the 34" MTRs but I am definitely excited. Will post pics.

@dumontrider as far as I know, there's no issue with getting them. I could have 4 delivered to me today and another 12 tomorrow and after that, I called my distribution center and they said they just have to get them from larger hubs but they don't know anything of them being discontinued. I reached out to copper and will have an answer tomorrow for you. I'm going to be getting them in a couple weeks in that size along with running cooper tires on a truck that's going to offroad expo east to be in Icon's booth so I've got a bit of a personal investment in getting you an answer, will definitely get back to you on this

Thanks a lot. Only about 20% of my local shops can get them, and they're all from the other side of the country & want ME to pay the shipping. I see them online but only a few places. Just concerns me that they're so scarce compared to Nitto, BFG, Traxxas etc. being on the racks ready to mount at every shop I call.

Things might be a bit different for you on the west coast. I usually don't pay any shipping on tires because "special orders" are just a matter of throwing a set of tires into a regularly scheduled shipment that's already coming. Worst I pay is a 15 dollar freight charge from one of my distributors. Nitto is a bit different because it's more of an auto sport industry tire so distributors handling nitto stock unusual sizes intended for lifted applications, that's why they're a lot easier to get a hold of. Against the vibe of this thread, I will tell you that I do just as much nitto as I do cooper and I would suggest the ridge grappler to anyone looking for a maxx. I have a lot of customer who beat the heck out of them with 1/2 ton and up trucks in addition to toyotas and they're a great tire.

Got them mounted up! Took about 8 lbs less balancing weights to balance these compared to the frickin MTRs. Seriously so much less weight. They look a little ridiculous because it is so heavily chopped to fit the 34s without any rubbing and the body lift combo.

Getting ready to place an order for tires (275 70 17s). My truck spends most of it's time on road but living in the country see light off road occasionally. My question is am I wasting my money on a set of maxxes, are they going to wear really quickly on a daily driver, should I be looking at something more like the at3? The times I have been off road I hate the feeling of impending doom when going thru mud with my stock tires. I've been close to stuck a few times in just a muddy field, plus I like the idea of the maxxes being more a puncture resistant tire. Luckily my daily commute to work is inly 20mi round trip but id just hate to have these tires worn out by say 20k miles.

They wear like steel and are quiet on road, I've even had customers reach out to me a few days after I have sold them maxx's and tell me how good the on road handling is and how quiet they are for how rugged they look. @Chux can give you more info on mileage life.

I'm at 10k on mine. Easily half of that have been hard/dirt miles.. still look new.

Although, I do have some chunking on the shoulders, but I honestly beat on these things so I'm not even mad or concerned. sometimes even pulling the below trailer through the same shit. Loose large rock uphill while towing definitely puts these Coopers through their paces, but they haven't failed me once.
