Good to know for my future calculations. I accidentally reset my trip count that I had tracking my mileage so I had to start over on this tank.
I think I’ll tell the wife that bigger tires help the resale value of the truck by keeping the mileage lower.

Curious what you guys are running for tire pressure in these. I did the chalk test with my 255/85/16s on the stock TRD OR wheels today. Started out with 34-36 all around and was getting more wear on the centers than the outsides. Now down to 30 on the fronts and 32 on the rears since I have a good amount of weight in the bed (canopy, RTT, 200lbs cargo). Any issues with running these on road down to 30 PSI?

Alignment was just done as well.

My girl's driveway is a sheet of ice, it's raining, and it's a bit of an incline. When I parked, I must of slid back several inches. I was able to take off ok though. These tires seemed to grip rather than just spin.

Did more chalk testing enroute from Austin, TX to Breckenridge, CO yesterday. I found a sharpie easier to use than chalk btw. With my 16x7.5 OEM TRD OR wheels and 255/85/16s I needed to air down to 28-30 on the front and 30-32 in the rear to even out the wear.

Looking at getting a set, but question on size.
I have a 2016 Off Road Access Cab, with the stock 265/70R16s

    Looking at 1010tires there is a LT265/70R16 and a LT265/75R16
tirerack doesn't have the 70, and cooper's website doesn't list this tire.
    I am assuming 1010tires made a mistake

Can I put the LT265/75R16s on my truck without issue?

    Thanks.

Yes this is the biggest size you can go on stock suspension without rubbing issues. You may have to remove the front mudflaps but that should be all, if thats even needed. Im not sure if all the 3rd gens even came with the front mud flaps

Yes, they will fit perfectly and will not rub.

Is that on level ground? If so, then when you are doing the same while compressing the suspension I suspect you will have interference.

I should have ordered these when you posted this. Could have had a set of 4 for $100 cheaper than what they're listed for now.

The 265/70/16 Cooper ST-Maxx does exist. Discount Tire can get them. You have to contact Discount Tire directly as they don't list on their site either. Cooper has them tthey are just a special order size. Reason I know is I already checked into it with Discount tire and they can get them for me if I want them. I am still trying to decide if I want to stay stock tire size or go up one size to the 75.

I went with 265/70/16 on my last tire purchase. Keeping the stock size seemed to be a good idea, but today I just ordered some ST Maxx’s in 265/75/16. Only reason I stayed with stock size on last purchase is that I thought the 75's would rub, but I have since found out thru this forum that they will not rub.

I drive maybe 5 to 6k miles per year, so gas mileage isn’t important to me. What I’m most curious about is what it does to my speedometer. I have AT3's on the truck now and they weigh 42 pounds. The ST Maxx’s weigh 54 pounds.

75's won't rub as long as you have stock wheels. When I put on my Ray10's right before I lifted it, I rubbed because of the decreased back spacing.

:annoyed: At least all 4 are covered... easily repairable I would assume. Kinda wishing it was closer to the edge of my tire so I could get a new tire and make this my spare lol

Just ordered me a set today. 285/75/16 from discount :). They priced matched and even went $5 lower than Walmart. $780 shipped to me. Pretty excited.
