Well...I blew a sidewall on my rear St Maxx last weekend. Looked like it rounded on a sharp rock and punctured it. Sucked because I only had a 32" spare with me...wasn't fun lol. Surprised though to see that happen, ran KO2s for 2 years and beat the crap out of them with no flats. This one happened on just my 2nd outing with these tires. Hopefully just a freak occurrence

I was looking at this size for my next set. Are you re geared? I’d like to know how much trimming it will take and if a CMC is necessary.

Yeah re-geared ,OVtune has also helped alot! I was told if i went up to this size it should help the gears perform better! Will see i hope soon! I think just after looking at tires CMC is definitely have to happen but i will give the Icons a couple more turns and see if i can get a little more lift without getting to harsh a ride.

Yessss!!! Love this size, and my 265/75/16 Maxx’s have been kickass so I’m really looking into these if I jump to 17”s! Love the height vs width of my current set so going to roughly 34x11.1 seems perfect, lots of sidewall still. Will definitely be following up for updates. Love them on your truck btw @Chux, def stalked that build thread :anonymous:

    Thanx dude!

I love the height to width ratio as well.
And more sidewall is why I made the jump from 255s..

Mine lasted just shy of 40k miles. Cut a sidewall at 13,000 feet today. 27857A2A-31BE-491C-B9E5-B072F0C8B211.jpgA4290452-34C5-4761-9947-A5D59AFCE8D4.jpg

Finally got my replacement STMaxx on yesterday, after ripping the sidewall on one with less than 1k miles on it. Had to wait a week and a half for America's Tire to order it because they are apparently hard to come by in 255/85r16. Let's hope that doesn't happen again...been on a few rough trails with them since (well, 3 of them and a mismatched spare) and they've held up great...these tires have excellent traction.

haha, same exact thing happened to me at about 12k feet. Sucked because I only had a 32" KO2 spare with me and had to drive 300 miles home on it (the rest are 33s).

Mine only had 1k on it though when the sidewall tore. Was hoping it was just a freak accident because I've never had that happen on my KO2s that I ran for a couple years previously.

I bought a 255 KM2 off of another member for a spare. Saved my ass. Got my new meats on today though. It only took 2.5 days to get them. Bought them from the Tire Buyer store on eBay. 8AA89AB2-D40F-43E3-B120-776453318CE1.jpg
