On my 255s I've been running ~33-35psi all around. Wear has been just fine and it helps with the stiffer-than-stock ride

On the beach and off road I'm down to 15psi

60psi is insane. That said, I haven't done the chalk test to confirm where they should be

They are an E rated tire. 60psi is part of what it takes to be able to carry that much weight. Honestly I'm surprised its not higher.

I suppose if you’re maxing out the load on them that makes sense. For a normally-empty truck bed I don’t need that.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting that you do need that much pressure, sorry if I came off that way. If they wear and ride well at 30-35 then that's what I would run. In some applications they may wear better at a pressure closer to the rated weight pressure.

I've been playing around in the 30 - 40 range. 40 gets good mileage and feels nice on the 80 mph highways. 32 feels much better on the fast country roads and gravel but looses a bit of mileage. I might push them up to 60 just to see if there is any benefit... 60 seems like lots buy they don't max out until 80 psi.

... and I should have added... the natural slight pull of these to the right is more noticeable at 32 than at 40. Curious if anyone else has noticed that.

I've run these around 37-38 psi for most of the 30K-35K miles and the center is more worn than the outsides. They are down to 4/32-6/32nds in the center. I dropped down to 28 psi front and 26 psi rear and the ride is better. I have not noticed a drop in MPG. I would reco doing a chalk test to be sure. I probably should have run them closer to 30 psi. Even that worn they just work off-road with no drama.

Here's an interesting article on the subject. Oh, I run mine at 35 psi cold all around but they go up to 38 quick so I might be a little under inflated (according the heat test in that article). I just ordered a quad inflation system so for sure first thing I am doing is adjusting them and then chalk testing them.

Personally, I feel weight plays a role on any vehicle/tire. Driving style too. Assuming we all drive semi respectably that leaves weight. This is why I think the chalk test is the best way to determine. However, I don't know what I am going to do after equalizing them if the chalk is different..............

Yea, I bought those off a member/friend for my nieces 5th Gen 4Runner. I didn't know 16's wouldn't fit. I damn near kept it for myself as a spare set. Duratracs are good but I like the Maxx better. I'm still amazed at how quiet and smooth these are coasting down a hill up here on the old two lane blacktop roads.

This makes 3 of us in the Maryland thread running this tire, in this size. :fistbump:

Yes, in 265 75 16. At least this is what tirebuyer has posted under specs.
