The Maxx is where it's at as far as I'm concerned. It'll be a sad and expensive day if I ever catch wind of a better tire for my wants and needs:rolleyes:

As for comfort. No problem. Noise is so minimal only complaint would be MPG

I'm guessing you went wide with them? Even though they weigh 53 lbs my 255/85/16 Maxxs didn't make my mpg any worse. They may actually have improved it a bit...

Were you going from 265/70 to 275?

Forgive me if I don't know 17"rim sizes, I'm guessing here. Curious what the change is so I can guesstimate how much width affects mpg!

    Good info, thanks.

I'm sticking with 255's, so it's good to hear MPG won't suffer too much, if at all.

As long as you know how to drive to get the best mpg they should increase it, for highway at least cause you will be running at a lower rpm. Going over a lot of hills though would probably hurt the mpg.

I certainly expected it to, but with my foot to the floor through Utah and Colorado my mpg for some reason didn't get worse... Even when I went 90 for hours on end through the windy flatlands.. still no worse MPG. Kinda spooky if ya ask me.

I assume you're taking into account the diameter change??
