Cheapest place I've found up here is from a local shop at $224 a tire. $16 a tire for mount and balance so $960 plus tax. Guy said he can get them from back east in 5 days.

Im impressed... If I had wider tires I would have aired down and gone on top of the 24", but with no OBA and tall skinnies I was forced to chew into it. The coopers did just fine for being buried up to my axles. I just kept backing up and let the coopers eat.

Is it discount tire via eBay that is known to have $100 off a set of tires (or some deal like that)?

If so, how do you find out when they are offering that sale?

    For those still researching prices.

I just ordered a set of 4 255/85/16 from tire liquidators. Total price out the door with certs was 1121.77

Discount tire was cheaper per tire but their certs were over double per tire. Discount out the door price was about the same but they couldn't tell me when they would be available.

What lift do you have on our rig? I'm about to pull the trigger on these exact rim/tires and want to be sure I don't need to trim anything due to rubbing.

camburg 2.5 coilovers camburg uniball upper uca wheelers add a leaf bilstein 5100 on rear
I have had these tires for 2 years now the other day i go in to get them balanced and im told that the steel band in the tires have seperated from the rubber. All 4 tires are bad. The tires have tons of tread left. Has anyone had this problem. The shop tells me its because the uniballs in the upper control arms are worn ive had the uniballs for two years also. Decided to go back to ball joint upper control arm by camburg due to the weather and road salt in my location. Just curious if yall have seen this before?

How could an E-rated tire suffer from that sort of failure on a light truck? Seems dubious that UCAs would cause it unless you do very high mileage and beat the crap out of it offroad. Plus, how often were you rotating? Only two tires at a time were be subjected to UCA influence at a time, assuming for 5k mile stints. Have you taken off your wheels and cycled the suspension to see if it is working properly? Curious to see how this plays out.

camburg 2.5 coilovers camburg uniball upper uca wheelers add a leaf bilstein 5100 on rear
Tires were rotated regularly besides on stint of 9000 miles. I am offroad on average every other week in some form. The suspension seems to be cycling properly. When I have truck on jacks there is excessive play in the uniball to the point where I can pull tire back and forth and the uniball will move inside of the control arm. I have had these uca on for approximately 2.5 years and have not changed uniball not sure how long they are supposed to last. I talked to camburg they said that with on road conditions they would not last quite as long but he did think it was weird. I'm currently stationed in cape cod so weather conditions and salt on uniball is not ideal. Don't know what to think. Instead of replacing uniball I ordered the camburg ball joint uca the uca itself I currently have is very high quality it seems the only problem I have had was the uniball and I have liked camburg customer service so far. I like the tires as well they have reall been good offroad trying to decide if I should go with them again or try something new.
