That's what I did, drivers side DRL purple wire, I cut off some of the loom coating to get better access to the wire, and add some room to the tapps, put both lights
    on that side!!

Where and how are you guys mounting the circular 3-way switch that come with the backlit SSC lights? The diameter of the circular switch seems slightly larger than the width of the existing rectangular OEM switches.

Replace it with a switch from anytime backup camera.

I just need a 3 way switch with 3 prongs that will fit in the rectangular slot. Im not worried about having the switch illuminated. Im also new to wiring so splicing and cutting all kinds of stuff is not preferred. Alternatively, how are people mounting the circular switches?

You can always ignore the leads for illumination and not bother with lighting the switch.

Finally got around to installing the SS3 Sport fog lights...they really perform well.

I thought I'd share a little teaser shot before the bumper cover goes back on my 4Runner.

    Before:

Cibie Oscar driving beams with 100 watt bulbs. Old schools, but reasonably effective.

    IMG_1884%5B1%5D_290d3132b0fe626fcf803730d6f33af8a161f14a.jpg

    After:

Diode Dynamics SS5 Pro Selective Yellow driving beams with a clear lens swap for a warmer color temperature.

    IMG_2763_1__cd0fa35d53b86a32f7ca5a63493f65440bb8c60e.jpg

I'll try to post up some pics with the bumper cover back on later today. The backlight feature (in amber) is hooked up to the parking lights.

Many thanks to @memario1214 for his usual stellar customer service. There simply is no better place to buy lighting products than Hotshot Offroad!

Ok, finally got the bumper cover back on and discovered that I needed to shim the SS5's up approximately .250" to avoid most of the grill. Got that done without using too many bad words and here's what things look like.

Parking lights with amber backlight feature:

    IMG_2766_1__d876bce3ab424632baa40e21f156f24018343473.jpg

    Headlights with SS3 Max fogs:

    High beams with SS5's:

It's raining right now, so I decided to wait for a clear night to get output shots. I will tell you this, even though I have to make a minor tweak to the aiming, these things are sick!

Again, many thanks to @Diode Dynamics for great products and @memario1214 for great prices and customer service that is truly world class!

Can’t wait to see how they perform even with the obstruction of that lower grille!

True. I knew going in that mounting them behind the grill was going to be a challenge and cost me some light output. Sometimes the stars align though - or one gets lucky. Notice how only the top / center diode gets blocked after careful placement. I'm tempted to do a little Dremel work on the inverted triangular sections, then raise the pods about another quarter of an inch to maximize output. Of course, if I can find another grill to hack up, I might just cut out the entire section in front of the pods ...

    :fistbump:

I'll just need to weld up a rear bumper now and look into some DD lights for chase lights.

And now, the moment we've all been waiting for. Got just a few minutes to run out and try the new SS5's on a local suburban street with no street lights. Although I'm going to bring the aim up just a few more degrees, I have to say, these things are absolutely killer!

Do you know any of the distances to some of the objects lit up?
