I figured. I'm sure Toyota changed the hood and windshield design/lines from 2nd to 3rd gen.
Can always sell the brackets to someone that needs.

Our TIR optics are made of durable optical-grade polycarbonate compared to other options on the market running a thin replacement lens. We've never had a report of an optic breaking or shattering due to the thick design.

LED Pod covers are a nice addition to keep the main face of your pods clean and protected from dirt, dust, or whatever else the road throws your way. The smoked is more for style and will impact the light output.

Here is an example of an SS3 Sport without a cover and with a tinted cover.

We don't offer 2nd generation ditch light brackets at this time for the Tacoma. However, If you have ditch light brackets, our Stage Series LED pods will bolt on and harnesses are available!

Finally, this video has been very popular regarding security hardware on YouTube. We hope this helps!

Yes, but it is the law in some states to have covers. This is the problem I’m running into with the SS42 lightbar…

I just purchased the SS3 sport fogs for my 21 tacoma offroad. When I pulled the pods out of the bag they each are wrapped in, I could smell burnt electronics. They where brand new factory sealed. Is it normal to smell that? Im somewhat hesitate to install them because of this smell. They both smell if you sniff them.

If there's anyone around here I can think of who has smelled many-a Diode Dynamics light pod it's @memario1214 ... maybe he can chime in.

My only guess your pods were near some unrelated incident at some point that caused them to pick up a smell and that their functioning is not affected.... DD makes some top-notch stuff.... hard for me to imagine them sending out two pods that went up in smoke during QM testing. :notsure:

Thank you. I have yet to install them to find out if they work or not. Maybe they just packaged straight out of the oven and it held in some of the manufacturing smell? I dunno. But Ive fried some electronics in my day and they both smell like that. At least they did last night when I opened them up to check them out. Im at work now so I will check on their smell now they have been out of the sealed bag they where in for a few hours now. I just didnt know if this was normal fresh out of the oven smell or perhaps something bad. The fact they both smell like this leads me to think its normal. But what do I know. Just checking here to see what others have experienced.

Every once in a while I have noticed that some pods will have a slightly electrical smell as you have referenced. It is usually pretty light, and we haven't found issues with any of those units. Go ahead and toss them in, and if something really is wrong I think you'll know right away, and we'll get you some replacements straight away (assuming you picked them from us anyway)!
I have smelled many a light pod in my life . You guessed right!

Thank you. I installed them with no issues. The only thing I ran into was that my bracket arms that tuck into the factory mounting holes where smaller in thickness vs the OEM brackets. Because of that my lights had little slop in them once fully mounted. I ended up putting some 3M tape on my arms to thicken them up and keep them from having any play once locked in with the single screw. All good now!

Elite is wired to DRL wire so it kinda takes over.

Just to make sure I got the correct kit. The yellow fogs have a somewhat orange looking lens correct? They look yellow at night. But I just want to make sure I got yellow. Because my fogs look orange to me when off.

All of the selective yellow kits will have some sort of yellow look when off. SS3 max kits will look more "orange" when off, whereas SS3 Sport/Pro and elites have a lighter yellow color when off.

Thank you. I have the SS3 sport version. This is what mine look like. I kind of wish they where more yellow when off.
