Finished up installing my CaliRaised premium roof rack along with the CaliRaised side LED pods. But obviously this post is for DD goodness! I installed the SS42 lightbar in white with the combo pattern. I’ll get output shots sometime this weekend hopefully. But for now:

Little DD diy mod of the day.

Got a new tube bumper so my DD pro fogs with the curve no longer worked. I was planning on buying new covers to replace the curved ones. I ended up cutting them down, hit it with a flap disc, then finished it off with a 1k enamel spray paint. Saved around 60 bucks, looks exactly the same as the other covers.

32" bar behind the grille with 4 driving/1 flood lens, set of pro driving yellows, and sport fogs. Doing a new bumper so will probably ditch the ss3 pods, and maybe just tuck one set of c1s somewhere.

Wish this was true for me.
My aftermarket headlights light output is horrible, so I use to leave my fogs on at night and never got flashed once.
I have my SS3 amber pro pointed down as low as possible and I get flashed constantly.
Every car I pass I see their bright yellow face looking at me pissed.
I must be doing something wrong because seems like I’m the only one with this problem.
Really like the output but I’m at the point where I won’t use them so contemplating putting my old fogs back in.
Id appreciate any help on what I might be doing wrong or any tips on pointing them lower.
Wondering if adding the white lense would reduce the glare on oncoming traffic ?

The Pro uses an LED with a much larger die than either the sport or Max model, and as a result the optic has much poorer focus, resulting in a significantly "softer" cutoff line. The yellow lens has to filter out a decent % of the total light output, meaning lower intensity than the clear optic over the same pod, and less glare as a result. Additionally, yellow light is less "glaring" at the same intensities as white/full spectrum light, so going to the clear lens would not help. Your best bet is to recheck the aim of your fogs, with a heavier than typical load in the vehicle, as correctly adjusting them with a light load can cause them to be aimed significantly higher with an increase in vehicle weight/suspension loading.

And finally, as long as theyre within the legal height/width mounting requirements, wired appropriately, aimed correctly, and *used* appropriately, then theres nothing you can further do to minimize glare. Except not use them.

In case it wasn't clear in the other replies, your root cause problem is that the Pro is a poor choice for constant on road use due to the beam pattern. You'd actually be better off with the Sport. I had the same problem with my Pros, then went to the Max for the same reason. But I only use them in poor weather too.

Thx man. I did the whole measuring with tape in a parking lot and absolutely loved them. Now I have them pushed down as far as the brackets would allow hoping I'd get flashed less.
    So weight wouldn't matter, right?

Also was wondering, when a car coming towards you, is their interior all lit up as they pass you? I'm guessing more so, just on the sports?

Pro fogs with a lift. That explains it all. There just isn't enough downward aim possible with the SS3's to both give you a proper beam pattern and not bother oncoming drivers when you're mounted that high up.

On road forward lighting with any lifted vehicle is problematic. The best thing you can do is lower the mounting point(s) of your fog lights. That's not always possible. And no, the entire interior of oncoming vehicles should not be lit up as you go by or pull up behind them.

Fogs are to only be used when weather conditions necessitate their use.

Diode Dynamics Elite fogs with backlighting (that is unable to seen unless you're in dim lighting). Fantastic output otherwise though.
