I think SS3's would look awesome if you could make a clean cutout in the area highlighted and mount them in the areas of the main bar on the grill. I don't know if the grill bar is big enough to accept SS3's and I would assume mounting would be difficult. The grill usually has some vibration on bumps and that would be annoying seeing your lights bouncing around. lol

I thought about that spot as well. Keeping them mounted on some solid metal brackets is a must though. That plastic grill would most likely vibrate bad, especially off road. Ill eventually weld on some brackets to mount the combo yellow pods behind the lower portion of the upper grill. I just wanted to get them on there for this weekend so i threw them on there next to the clear pods.

This is to add to my previous post the other day. Not the best pics as they are taken with my phone. The selective yellow combo pods are partially blocked behind my grill, but they still add some good distance and fill lighting. Overall with the low beam, fogs, and combos its a ton of light for trail use. Super easy on the eyes. Zero eye strain. The 4000k driving pods with h9 lows and highs are great for on road use. A ton of focused usable light. Pics DO NOT do these lights justice.

I'm a F150 guy lurking here because of crashburn's great SAE threads but I'm going to have some coming soon hopefully to take pictures of.

From page 14 of the LED SAEJ581 driving light thread:

Vehicle for the pics is a 2008 honda civic with HIR2/9012 Sylvania bulbs in the lowbeams and old/funky 9005's for the highbeams. Camera setting were manually adjusted and locked to be representative of what I was seeing.

Camera settings locked to: aperture F1.7, white balance set to 3300k (for typical halogen, this exaggerates the higher color temp of the SS12 bar), ISO 800, Exposure Time 1/4s

    -Low beam
    -Low beam and High beam
-Low beam with DDSS3 Sport 4000k with Spot optic
-Low beam and High beam with DDS3 Sport 4000k with Spot optic
*Edit 6/29* My pace count put the 6th illuminated telephone pole in this and the following picture at appriximately 290 meters from the front bumper of my vehicle. The road curves to the right and down slightly at this point.
-Low beam and High beam with DD 12" SAE driving light bar [edit- looking back I'm actually not 100% that I had both lows and highs on for this pic.]

    @memario1214
If you're on the SAE fog thread forgive me for duplicate pictures. First of all I have to say I like modifications that improve something but still look like the vehicle came that way. I got a set of SS3 Max selective yellow fogs from your very own dealer here Memario1214. What a great guy... don't think he'll want to do business with me ever again but all I can say to him is thank you. My big and (as days go by) probably only dislike is I DO NOT like the looks of the yellow lenses even though they do indeed have many pluses over white lights. But he took care of that for me, and set of clear fog lenses showed up in my mailbox. Classy guy. The performance is definitely growing on me. I can drive this down the road with just the fogs on and have pretty good distance without anybody flashing me that they are aimed too hi and the clarity of view is much improved over the 6K color of the factory fogs or headlights.

So without any f150 shots to bore you with here are 2 sets of pictures.
    1) fogs only
    2) fogs and low beams
    3) fogs and hi beams (bambi mode)

Going back and forth between your "fogs only" and "fogs with low beams" pics, I find it interesting how little additional lighting the low beams actually add. Then again, I have the same SS3 Max fogs in my 4Runner and I'm not surprised at all.

Thats exactly what I find is the case with my motorcycle 12 Victory Cross Country (as seen in psot #5). I have a Morimoto D2S 4.0 (shield drop and step lowered) retrofitted, 35w Hella gen 3 ballast, Morimoto 4500k bulb and DD SSC2 Pro SAE Fog clear lens. Even though the retrofit was a massive upgrade to the stock halogen and even brighter than the Victory LED headlight or JW Speaker V1 LED Victory headlight. The pair of DD SSC2's put out such a nice wide pattern that really fills the ditches and light throws much further than I thought it would. I was a little a skeptical about getting the SSC2's since I have SS3 Pro's (selective yellow) on 2 vehicles, but those little SSC2 Pros pack one hell of a punch, can't wait to see what the C1's are like!!

Even in our Subaru Ascent I use the SS3 Pro selective yellow whenever the headlights are on. I feel like it lessens the amount of perceived white light is on the road from the factory LED headlamps which for me reduces eye strain/fatigue. Plus the additional light in the ditches helps a lot! On our Ascent the fog lights are only about 16"-18" off the ground so they are aimed with little to no drop which helps the light reach out in distance quite well.

Some good scene lighting for the roof rack. Hoping to get them installed this weekend. Plugged one up to where my ssc2’s are and for their size, I’m very very impressed.
