We're glad you're loving them! We just had a submission from a user that received his SSC1 LED pods. There are 4 SSC1 Pro LED pods mounted to the side of his bed rack and 2 SSC1 LED pods with our flush mount option on his rear bumper. Enjoy!

Might not get them installed this weekend, but I sure do love playing with them. These little things are stupid bright, and they’re only the sports in flood pattern. Good job diode dynamics. Honestly thinking of keeping a battery and an extra pig tail in the truck if I ever might need a flashlight

Let’s just say I haven’t been impressed with mine. From day one they caused static on my radio when they were on like the cheaper brands do. Then with less then 20 hours on them I had one burn up the other night. Found out that was the one causing the static from the beginning.

What in particular do you have installed? Many a time a poor ground somewhere will cause static. Or even changing ground locations.

It’s a set of SS3 Sports. I grounded them both in the same location. Once the one quit working the static stopped. I think the one light had an issue from the beginning but I didn’t know it until it quit.

How bright are the amber backlights? I'm seriously considering a similar setup.

They’re definitely dimmer than the normal light function but I feel they provide adequate light for my use- dust lights. From inside the cab at night, you can’t really tell they’re on unless you light up a reflective surface. They’re probably as bright as your stock DRL.

So i was thinking of using my ssc1 backlight feature as part of some low intensity camp lighting. Curious if any of you have done so. I was thinking of wiring them up to a seperate switch in the bed. I ask because i currently only have the main beam wired up. As of now they are mounted to my roof rack and used for side lighting when needed on trail or finding a camp spot

How bout a duel position switch on the left of the steering wheel? I plan on wiring both the back light and main light to one switch. I thought about putting one in the bed, but then thought it’d be too easy for someone to turn it on if they found it. I know it would take quite a while for that to drain the battery, but still not something I’d want to have to worry about at all.
