Nice Ascent!! How do you have yours mounted? I got the Outback kit before DD released the Ascent kit. I had to trim the bumper a bit to make the round shield fit and have adjustment, I have the standard bezel laying around but I haven't swapped them yet. Also I trimmed the hole on the trim piece to open up the opening a little more as well.

Great pics. Have you had issues with yours. I used the Ascent kit but I think most of the Subarus are the same or similar. It fit right in with no trimming but its SNUG. I had to have the light all the way pushed into the bracket to have it fit but it does a have a little adjustment still but not much. After installing I thought about trimming the front trim piece in these spots (pic) but it's my moms car so shes very unsure about it. I think it would improve the light output a tad but not that much.

Heres hers after we took it on some loging trails in the UP that went to the most northern point. We got to the entrance to the final trail that led to it and man it was just really close to hanging up so we stopped and turned back cause if we screwed something up there was no dealership near by and we still had a 500 mile or so trip home. Of course we had some guys in some Razors trying to get us to further but it wasnt worth it.

I haven't had any issues with mine. Aiming was kind of a you know what. I had to trim the bumper as you can see in the second picture to be able to raise them high enough, if I didn't trim anything they would have pointed down pretty far. Thats why I picked up some of the standard lens bezels to help eliminate that. When I went to aim them I had the outside bolt pretty tight since it is not accessible once installed and locked in the aim with the inner bolt. I do wish the mounting allowed for it to be pushed forward more so there wasn't as much gap between the fog light and trim piece as well as maybe raising it a little so the lower LEDs aren't blocked as much.

I made the opening a little larger by taking a utility knife to the back edge and scraping around the bottom (like deburring the edge of cut plastic or wood), top and inner part of the opening. It helped, but I want to do some more trimming. If you compare it to the picture on DD's site, you can see how just a little trimming can open that area quite a bit. Before doing that though, I'd like to figure out a way to raise it up about 1/2" or so the lower LED's don't sit below the trim piece. If I recall the trim pieces are about $60 if completely butcher it.

I’ve seen someone do them where the Toyota letters are. Wasn’t diode, but looked pretty badass.

Been wanting to do it like that for a loooong time now. That guy built a bracket for the lights to bolt on to. Super clean with no lights on the bumper.

I just ordered some SSC2's with a flush mount for my rear bumper. I see yours have amber backlighting. But they turn to white only when you are in reverse, right? I got some red backlit ones and just don't want them turning a brighter red. My intention was backup lights and the red backlight is a nice addition to the rear of the truck during inclimate weather for the person tailgating me ;)

YUP! If you're running DD I say go down to HP3s. That's one place that we recommend going down in power is on the license plate lights so that you don't completely wash out your camera. Also, I personally don't like the look of the light pouring up the tailgate so high.
