Not really armor, but I had to chop up this wilco tire gate that came off a 2014 chevy 1500 so it'd fit my 05 taco. Had to make it 6" narrower in order to fit. Been a handful of years since I've run a bead, and man where they rough lol. Layed em on thick!! I'll post more pics once I get time

Whats your plan with having it swing out? Mounting a tire and stuff to it?

 

Yeah, swing out tire carrier, using tubing for the tail gate and guna try to see if I can reuse (cut up)my stock tail gate as a cover

 

MOBTOWN Bolt on plates are going to make these the BEST 1 7/8 inch door clearance enough?

 

the outer tubes are mounted on diagonal but the 15 degree upward angle makes them a pretty good step? with traction tape of course.

 

Any plans on reproduction on the sliders?

 

7/8 should be fine, just watch the door being open if you jack your truck up by the slider, it may flex enough to touch

Those are super beefy compared to mine.

 

those MOBTOWN plates are 3/16 the standoffs are 2x2x.250 the main tube is 2x2x.188 (or 3/16) depends who's talking the five short spacer tubes are 2x2x.188
the outer tubes are 2x2x.120.
I get T-Boned in an intersection I think I'll be fine.
