    I didn't even notice that. You would think they would be happy it's on there and the numbers are visible. I don't have my license plate on the front at all, I've gotten pulled over a cuple of times and the copes never noticed.

    ^Some states don't require a front plate...but I'm pretty sure chopping up or modifying your plate would be illegal

    I know here in Nevada if your car didnt come with holes in the front or no license plate bracket you dont need one but other then that you have too.

    I believe I read somewhere that the license plates are property of the state and modifying it anyway is illegal. As for the legality of front license plate, it is the law here in CA. I did drive a truck for 5 years without a front plate here with no issues. Although not having a front plate just gives the cops a reason to pull you over.

    Yeah back in the day I never ran a front LP I got pulled over 3 or 4 times for it. It sucks but I run one now to stay legal.

    Sometimes the sheriffs do DUI check points during the holidays and they ticket people with any vehicle violations (front plates, dark tints, lowered vehicle, use of big tires on a lift without fender flares, turn signal bulbs color, etc...)along with the check points. I guess it generates money for the city and the sheriffs. I think it averages out to about 1 of every 4 cars that passes through. They do this a lot in Huntington Beach over here.
