Do the currently available 17x8" -10mm Konig Countersteer Type X wheels have these raised and knurled bead seats?

The 17x8" -10mm offset version has standard beads / bead seats. It's still a time tested, tried and true wheel design that I've been selling for Toyota trucks since 2006.

The raised beads with knurled bead seats are features that we've added to the new 17x9" version of the Countersteer Type X and a few other versions of our newest wheels.

When will you have the 16x8 0+ metallic blue back in stock?

I could have written this post because I'm wondering the same thing... Or if it's even going to happen.

Demand has decreased significantly for 16" wheels, so we aren't producing them as frequently as we once were. I don't have an ETA right now for the 16x8" Countersteer Type X flow formed in dark metallic blue. At the moment we have matte gunmetal in stock, and the wheels are on special in matte gunmetal : https://www.fnwheels.com/store/prod...?attribute_pa_available-colors=matte-gunmetal.

If you guys are interested in pre-ordering the wheels and waiting for them, we can put dark metallic blue back into production right away. We'll also offer a discount to customers who pre-pay. The lead time is typically 12-14 weeks once we submit the order to our manufacturer.

I was planning on purchasing these soon, unfortunately I need to replace my ball joints and my college increased tuition, so money is going to be tight. I'm going to have to hold off on these for another 6 months. I hope this pre-order option is still viable by that time.

Just installed these a few days ago on my 2023 trail edition, 16 x 8 Countersteer type X, 0 offset wrapped in Toyo AT3s, 265/75/R16.
love the look and stance and rides smooth.
With the factory 1.1 inch lift, No rubbing at all during regular driving. Might consider thinner mudflaps in the future though.
The installer mentioned that balancing was easy, one wheel did not require any weights.

Shoutout to Dustin of FN wheels for the awesome customer service and impeccable packaging.

Here are some pics from the front.

The 0 offset adds an additional 16mm offset compared to the stock trail edition rims. ( 16x7 +4 offset )
The tires are flush with the fender flares. Tread is still inside fender flares, just barely. Absolutely love the stance!
One other plus, with the lightweight wheels and SL rated Toyo AT3 265/75/r16 tires, I was able to keep rotational mass to about same as stock. Roughly 60 lbs. per wheel/tire.

Will the 17x8 be discontinued when the new version comes out?

What lift setup are you running? That’s exactly the look what I’m going for.

Any more pics of that setup? I’m considering the same wheel for my mgm.

Thanks! I don’t have any updated pics, I’ll try to take some this weekend. I still love the aggressive stance on this setup.

Are there any flush center cap options for the 16x8 -25 5stars?

I got a chance to install FN’s new 17x9” Konig Countersteer X flow form wheels this week, so happy with them!
I had a set of FNs for the past 5 years but needed a wider rim for the new set up and these new styles came out just in time. Couldn’t ask for much better customer service from Dustin, and bang for my buck.

Dude that looks good. I thought 35s with a nine inch wheel and -25 off set was gonna rub like crazy. I'm rubbing on 33s 8 inch wide and -25.

Don't be fooled! At full lock i have about 1/2" from the wheel to cab mount, that's with an aggressive CMC! I've acceptable the fact that when wheeling I am going to rub and as long as it doesn't cut into my wheel i'll be happy

Sorry for my late reply. No, the 17x8" won't be discontinued. We're just adding to our options with the 17x9" -25mm offset version.

We designed the 16x8" -25mm offset Five Star to be as deep as possible. In doing so, the center dish/bowl around the PCD area (lug holes) is fairly shallow. A flush center cap won't fit over the axle grease cap on 4WD Toyotas, and a flush cap would also interfere with manual locking hubs or full float axles. Since we sell a lot of 16x8" -25mm offset Five Stars for older 4Runners, Landcruisers, Pickups and Tacomas with manual hubs and/or full float axles, we had to offer a center bore design that would allow for the axle to pass through without interference.

The 16x8" +0mm offset and 17x8.5" -6mm offset Five Stars include flush center cap options, as well as the 17x9" +25 5x150 (Tundra/Sequoia/Landcruiser 200) and 17x9" +25 6x139.7 with 95.2mm center bore for the 2024+ Tacoma and other newer Toyota trucks.

Looks great! Thanks Davis! I'm glad the fitment worked out for you too!

Here's another Tacoma from one of our customers with the new 17x9" -25mm offset Countersteer Type X flow formed and 37x12.50R17 tires.

These new 17x9" -25mm offset Countersteer Type X wheels are flow formed, weigh in right at 24lbs, the load rating is 2,500lbs with up to a 37" tire tested to SAE J2530 standard (much stricter than JWL-T). Reinforced lips/flanges were incorporated into the design as well as raised bead humps with knurled bead seats. The raised bead humps help to prevent the tires from de-beading at low PSI, and the knurled bead seats work to keep the beads from slipping.
