@la0d0g, stampede. Water is very low. Also noticed that the road over the dam is going to be closed from April 2017-October 2018 so they can work on the dam so I'm guessing they are releasing more water prior to the repairs.

0918160951.jpg Caught these tasty little guys on fresh cut bait under a bobber this morning. I'm standing directly underneath Interstate 80. Kind of fun to catch fish with 18 wheelers going over your head.

SWEET!!! How long were you down there? Catch anything else? I'll be down there for two weeks in October.

We were there for a week, just got back. Fished ramp43, the point, 49, 55 and spent one day on Ocracoke. The fishing was decent early in the week, but dropped off as a storm way off shore churned the water later in the week. Caught several smaller drum, had three keepers, a lot of small pomps and a mullet or two. The weather was great. Good luck, the fishing should be epic in October.

That's awesome. You hit the same spots we do. You get any blues on Ocracoke?

Yes we had a nice run for about an hour. They were hitting fresh mullet and small metals. All were 10-14". Perfect size for the grill.

Good to know. We usually hit Ramp 59 for a day. This year I'm bringing waders.

upload_2016-10-12_22-42-27.jpgIt was cocktail blues, two at a time in Jersey last weekend. When these little suckers are hungry, they will hit anything. The mullet run is in full swing in these parts and these blues were tearing up pods of finger mullet right in the wash. Double-headers for an hour straight, lots of fun on a light outfit.
