Pretty nice bass my brother caught back in mid December. Didn’t have a scale on us, but it had to be pushing 10lb easy. Picture doesn’t do it justice.

Nice fish but Often over-estimated...Did you get a tape on it? I'd get you close weight if you did. this might help

Couple spade fish caught with the spear guns. Cobia was on reel on the way out.

I know nothing about fresh water fish so no worries haha.

The spade fish are really good for fish tacos. No big cuts out of them but plenty of smaller cuts to bread and throw on a taco.

Cobia is good too. Good to broil, good to bread with tacos as well. More than anything, they’re a really fun fish to catch. Basically, everyone watches from the boat, when one’s spotted, you cast on it and it’s a hell of a fight.

My buddy with his first barracuda over the summer. More of an accidental shot than anything. Thing swap up to him, starred him in the face and turned last second. Notice the head shot.

And a striper, some tautog, and speckled trout. Caught these in an afternoon this fall.

Yea it may have been a little on the light side because of the time of year and not being a very fat fish. But trust me I’ve caught plenty of bass and like I said the picture doesn’t do justice. I could’ve easily fit both fists in his mouth with room to spare. But no I didn’t get a tape or a scale on him but he was up there for sure.

depends on diet, pre or post spawn, environment. Could be over crowded/low food supply.

A plastic lizard just dragging along the bottom. I drug it by him about 6 cast and felt him hit it each time. I had no idea how big he was. I was using an old Zebco 33 that i used when i was a kid (Im 41). It still had the same line on it from the early 80s. Once i hooked him i was so scared the line was gonna break.
