Come on. It’s “fun” lol. once you hook up you’re following the fish through the current. And you have to attempt to unweave your fish through this while trying not to get hit in the head by someone casting.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
We do also, in PA. Bass are catch and release April 14 through June 15 this year. You can fish for them you just can't keep them.

Walleye, Saugeye, and Sauger seasons are Jan. 1 through March 14 and May 5 through Dec. 31. The season is closed March 15 through May 4. You can't target them either.

Water looks deep up to the shoreline. I fish High Island in Texas a lot but we have normally have to wade out a ways and cast into the blue water or kayak our baits out. On calm days we can fish out of our kayaks. We have lots of people fishing but room enough to spread out and not bother anyone. That looks like combat fishing. LOL

That’s actually what they call it honestly, gotta be on your toes if you wanna land fish here. You got the serious guys and then the weekend warriors who don’t really care. And it gets about 15’ deep there if I had to guess at high tide. Current gets in there and will roll your bait so you have to walk it it’s called the “drum conga line”. Cast, walk till you hit the end of the point, reel in and repeat. No current=no fish. It’s about an 1/8th mile stretch of sand with upwards of 150 trucks packed in sometimes with 2-3 people per truck, gets hard sometimes but it’s one of the best places on the east coast for drum, big ones at that.

It's on my bucket list to fish there but I will probably drag my boat with me also. I have fished for salmon when they re running in Alaska and it gets crazy like that.
Do yall get the big black drums there?
Here is an old pic of my friend and son when he was alive.

It’s a beautiful place for sure. If I didn’t love the place more than I hate it I’d have been gone a while ago lol. We get some big ones, but it’s not common from the beaches here. More of a boat thing. The Chesapeake bay gets a lot more than we do. They hang around the rocks around the bridge tunnels. Never had the pleasure of getting one myself though as I don’t fish VA very often. Those are some good ones though, they get worms over a certain size there? I’ve always been told once they lose their stripes or get over 15-20lb they get worms.

Gotcha, never really kept one till a couple weeks ago and it was pretty good. Good fighters though, that broad side of there’s helps them use the current to their advantage.
