    Yes they are like northern pike just smaller, and they are aggressive.

    The same way with Pikerel, they will absolutely crash your bait out of the water. On the kayak in like 6 inches of water when a 1 lb pickerel hits its like an explosion. I think that I have only had a bite form a pike but since I wasn't ready to catch them with leader, he just snapped my line. Who knows, but one of these days I want to go out and fish for them maybe with a guide.

    Got a new fly reel this weekend so I had to try to get the skunk off of it before I took it on a real fishin trip. Caught this monster off my girlfriend's dock today, then this evenin went down to the river and took it's trout virginity. :cool:

    So these two fish got me thinking....dudes scale I used was old as dirt. Went and bought my own Rapala....weighed a 5lb weight and it was 5lbs. Imagine that... weighed with my buddy scale....


    5lb weight said 1lb! :frusty: I have no Idea how heavy this fish was :eek:
