Been spending some of my early mornings chasing trout. Other than waking up at 4:30 to get out before the sun, it’s pretty rewarding.

 

The 17mr mirrodine is a great trout lure. Try a 16mr mirromullet at first light on a slick calm day for some explosive top water strikes.

 

I’ve been looking into those and the mirrominnow. I’m tired of throwing jigs like everyone else. They been super aggressive with the mirrodine compared to a jig.

 

Been getting out a lot late night recently. Hoping for striper/halibut but can’t stop catching rays. Estimate this one at 25lbs, that’s my size 12 next to it. Easy circle hook release, easy swim away

This old lady went back in the water.

 

I figured that with her size. They are still the best. I live in CA now but a trip to Jensen’s for a good walleye dinner is always in order when I visit.
