yeah if you go braid straight to the hook give that palomar a try..super strong and easy.

Ive pulled big snapper and grouper off the bottom with that knot

if tying floro or mono to a hook use the knots you have been using. for some reason the clinch knot likes to slip when using braid.. took me and my dad a month or so to figure that shit out

I almost jumped out of the boat........ today I lost a 5 plus pounder.... it was ALL my fault though because my brother in law grabbed the line after I told him that I was sending the fish up to him and out of instinct he grabbed the line and it snapped.......... but no excuses!!!!

the worst is when I take somebody out fishing who has never used a gaff before...sure they have to learn..but if its a fish that HAS to come in the boat, I usually hand them the rod and gaff the fish myself.

I let them learn on fish I dont care about :D

3 pounder out of the kayak last night around 7:45 pm......... nice fish. Sorry I didn't have anything to take the photo next to which would have showed you to scale since I was in the kayak. Fishing trip tomorrow afternoon with the guys from work. This time I am throwing out a catfish rig from shore while I am bass fishing. The last trip to the lake one of the guys caught a catfish bottom fishing with a rubber worm, so I will give them a try with chicken livers.
