My very first Sailfish. Got him on live bait with kite presentation


Measured 86" got him on the color change just off the port of Ft Lauderdale



The colors on this fish were amazing.



Having him mounted since I'm not sure when I will if ever get this opportunity again

Thanks yall! He's going to look great above my bed. My father used to display his trophy Marlin over his bed when I was young so it's been a real goal of mine and I'm still in shock about the whole thing!

It was seriously so awesome watching him dance across the waves out there.

And then, @lilred95 hooked up with an even bigger one!!!






We just went and had the Mahi done three ways. I'm stuffed haha

Catching some sort of Billfish is on my bucket list! Hoping to scratch off the Goliath Grouper in about a month!

I've put a deposit on a fishing charter who specializes in them! Of course, weather will determine whether we can really target them. And I don't think it's really peak season for them, unfortunately.

I'll be in Lee County, so we're going out with Goliath Charters. I'll also be driving all over and trying to surf fish, and fishing Pine Island Sound and the canals for whatever's hungry!

I don't even mind "trash fish." 3 years ago, I caught a decent stingray, and it was one of the coolest experiences I've had! They're way faster than I ever imagined.

I went out trying to catch some sheepheads and caught this beast of a black drum! I didn’t even know the fish was on the line. I was just reeling it in when I felt like my line was snagged and it just started pulling and I was shocked at the strength. Never hooked a fish this size. It was a tough fight, but very fun.

 

That thing is a tank :0

 

I know right? I bet it's from all the chemical plants all around Texas City . I had to pull it up by myself and the pier was about 2'-3' above water, and the net barely fit around the fish. Some friendly gentleman was watching from this truck and ran over to take a look and asked if I wanted a photo.

 

Good eats at that size! 10-15 lbs heavier, throw it back.
