Ok...thanks to Obama's budget cuts, one of the best trout streams in GA won't be receiving any stocked fish next year. The Chatahoochee fish hatchery is gonna be stocking 20% fewer fish in the entire region, and some waters won't be getting any fish at all. Including the Toccoa River. Pisses me off

    End rant.

15" and 18". My buddy caught one about 12 or 13" and had an absolute MONSTER following it in. I saw it come out of the hole chasing the smaller one and nipping at it's tail. Had to be about 25" or bigger. It was a beast.

Ya these things are a blast. Biggest i've caught was 56lb... now thats a fun haul, especially when the river is flowing to help them pull. Record in the rivers here is over 85lbs that was killed. A larger fish was caught a couple years ago, but catch and release so the weight wasn't verified. Fish that big... you have to let it reproduce!

Fished a tournament on Sunday, caught 2 keepers a 3 lb large mouth and a 14 oz largemouth. I took 3rd or 4th place..... it was a 3 fish limit the winning bag was 6.2 lb I had 3.14 oz. I am trying to find pictures, but no luck so far. More important is hot little the fish are in this lake........ we must have caught about 35 fish between me and the owner of the boat but only 2 ...(which were caught by me) were keepers. I mean the rest were 8: and the legal limit is 12". One of the founders of the contest told my boat mate that the lake has been overstocked for the past cpl years and now there is way more fish then there is bait. He also said to keep every fish over 12 inches along with crappie. It's the 4 th time I fished there and I have caught a total of 4 keepers, 2- 3 lbers, a 2 lbers, and a 14 oz fish which doesnt say much. Ok... sorry this is so long, just wanted to share this story with you guys.

Surprised there aren't many shark fisherman here :) Here's one from a few weeks ago. This hobby (and scuba diving) is what lead me to switch from a sports car to a truck.

Just a bunch of old crap
I have video tucked away somewhere on 8mm tape of a 300lb 10' blue shark I caught out of Gloucester a few years ago. I will convert that to digital and send some stills and/or video clips. Got some great footage of about 22 minutes of the fight until we cut and released it. Landed that bitch on my feet with no chair in just under 30 minutes (with a little help from the boat of course )
