Not much biting in fresh water in NY it has been in the 95-100 degree mark and the fish are stalled.

Not a lot going on here either. Haven't had much rain, so the river flowing into the lake is about 350 CFS lower than it needs to be. Trout are startin to die from the lack of water and the heat. Temp of the water went up 10 degrees over 2 days. Es no bueno.

Wont be in FL until after Christmas I think. I haven't been in any smaller lakes or ponds, but the water level is definitely down. The fishing is so slow that I have caught 2 fish in the last 2 days of fishing and I hit 3 lakes. I am sure its going to turn around again.... just no time soon.

Triple digits in VA making the bass nah want mah bait as well :( Gotta hit em right in the head with a worm....site fishing in clear lakes or a lil "be the fish" in murky ponds  Not much luck the last few weeks. Seen em hanging in about 12' clear water 85 deg, caught a few lil guys bout the same conditions but murky water.

Tried some surf fishing this week end...skunked  I think my hooks was too big. Could feel my mullet chunk get destroyed when it hit the bottom every time but no luck. Birds were diving out of range the whole day....shit was poppin out there...probably mackerel but needed a kayak to get there. Neighbor caught a 3' shark right as I was leaving

You can see the break out a ways...was fishing inbetween....

Well the fish arent biting, we have had some rain I might go out later today to see if thats changed. Finally can watch some fishing shows on Versus since Le Tour Du France is no longer aired 24/7. It doesn't help the my friends in Islamorada keep sending me links to their site and how good the fishing is in the Keys. I dont like the slow down, gotta get on some good fish.

:) I have fished about a dozen times in my life. I didn't have anyone in my life growing up who was into it so I was never, ever interested in the slightest. Fast forward to around 3 years ago when my son was 4 and he decided, I have no idea how, that fishing was something he loved. At our cottage on the Saint John river we got him a cheap rod and he would spend hours with a line in the water. He would catch mostly perch and sunfish and his patience just amazed me. I would sit with him and talk and got a kick out of it when he caught something but still was fairly bored but happy that he was happy.

Three nights ago a friend asked if we wanted to go Striped bass fishing in the reversing falls which is where the SJ river meets the Bay of Fundy about 5 minutes from our home. He has all the gear and a boat and I said yes that my Boy would love it.

At nights end we had caught the only fish of the night........My Son with his 36 incher and my 44.

We went looking at Bass boats yesterday. :)
