C758D81B-5C3D-43A9-ABFE-57FA475BE25D.jpg First fish of the day on hike I was on! Went with my friends Jeff and Isabell. Stopped for a break on the climb up and saw a small pool in the creek and said well since we’re stopping... Jeff told Isabell that there was no way I was gonna catch a fish in there... when I want to catch fish. I will. Lol.

CF38299B-F70D-43B1-8D71-44E10D4FAB59.jpg Caught well over 40 fish today. Was a fantastic day on the water. Recent hatch up at the top lake and there was trout EVERYWHERE. Hooked up and landed fish 12 casts in a row.

I went to a new spot today hoping to find some bucket mouths. Almost got skunked but ended up netting a blue crab lol (then returned it), I must have been in brackish water. I did make a friend though, either that or he was mocking my poor fish catching skills.

Kind of reminded me of a stray dog. He followed me for about a half hour, going after my lures.

Went to Charleston and went out one day with a buddy. We didn’t catch a lot, but I got this guy in a creek on a medium setup...basically used for large trout or small 20” reds. Saw him tailing on an oyster bed and dragged a rapala by his face. Got to watch him eat it...then he took off. Heck of a fight on that light of tackle. He went 35”. Didn’t have a scale but I would estimate at 30+ lbs.

All brook trout. Think my buddy MIGHT have caught a young cut but he released it before i could get a good look at it. No record of any cuts being stocked there so idk. Goin to a lake this weekend with a decent group too chase some cuts though! I’ve only ever caught one before and would like to pump those numbers up lol.

SO jealous of you southern boys sight fishing reds in the flats. By far my favorite species, but we just pull them out of the surf as they migrate past.
