X2 I want a boat. One of the jobs that I am thinking about once I retire is a boat captain. That would mean the more experience I get now the easier the transition would be. Of course it is going to be a bit bigger boat but any experience is valuable now. I have been thinking about getting a serious bass boat and starting to guide in my area. Just a thought for now though.

He should have had another one. I got it in the net and when I started to bring it out of the water, it freaked out and turned and the hook caught the net and it got out. About the same size length wise, but fatter.

That is a good story about the one that got away...... My brother had a 5 lb bass jump in the kayak with him and break off the line then he jumped out.......... that was a good one. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see the whole thing........

I felt bad about it, but it made us even. I had one about 20" (no where near as fat) on a couple months back. He didn't have his net, I have mine on a magnet and clipped onto my vest, he forgot to unclip it, pulled really hard and made me turn, puttin slack in my line, and it got off. I was pissed. But, we're even now. haha. I actually ordered some polarized DVR sunglasses, they record HD video, just for stuff like this. They should be in any day.

There are tons of places to look for sure. Tonight should be interesting with us mainly going to explore instead of go just for fish.

We are also lookin to build a plywood platform on the front of the boat to help stability when standing.

Also anybody notice the stealthy tacoma in the pic :spy:

What size motor ya got on that boat? I've been looking for a boat with a 8-20 horse motor on it for over a year now. But, I'm gonna use it in the river when they're generating (the only time there's enough water to run a gas engine in the river). No one fishes it when they're generating, but we got to go once last year and caught this, and about 10 more close to the same size (Can't remember if I've posted this before or not, oh well)...

Since no one else knows to fish it like that, we'll be the only ones on the water. I want an 8-20 horse so I can take it on the lake, too.

They run anywhere from $20 to like $200. I got the $20 ones off of Amazon. I'm not expecting a whole lot out of em, but I figured I'd try them out for only $20. I'll make a trip with em when I get em and post it on here.

Got my glasses in yesterday! Now just gotta find time to go fishin with em. I went yesterday before they came in...and should have a pic for ya today...

I was pullin a rooster tail through and suddenly I couldn't reel anymore, thought I was hung up, then out of no where it starts strippin drag, took about 15 yards of drag real real quick, I yelled at my buddy to come with the net, he saw my rod doubled over and started runnin towards me. I reeled about 4 times, then all of a sudden the line went limp. I've never had a fish pull that hard before. No clue how big it was, but I've got a 22" rainbow on the wall that didn't feel like that at all. I was sick afterwards.
