What was bait?

 

Fiddler crab on a small j-hook or circle hook under a popping cork. 3 or 4 foot leader.
I cannot catch them on a bottom sweeper rig. Sheeps always take the fiddler crab. With the popping cork I just start reeling in when I see the float go down. Only way I can catch them. Throw up against the rocks at the jetties or bridge pilings.

 

One fish I would like to learn to catch.

 

Sand flea, Asian crab or fiddler crab up here are the common/favored baits.

this is what we were after...

 

Got another tiger musky today, fishing for bluegill and this is what I get. Not a monster like the last one I got, but still a fun fish.

Was using a 5f6i light rod, 4lb mono, 25 sized reel, and a zman flashback mini 1/16oz with a bobby garland baby shad plastic. He bent out the hook, bent the head of the hook, and destroyed the plastic.

Catching fish is fun but, a hell of a lot more fun when you’re catching them on your homemade
Lures..

 

Took my kids out today and was able to reel in a cat.
