    Eating meat/fish that has been bitten by a venomous snake will not harm you. The venom is protein and peptides and is broken up and digested in your stomach. In addition the venom is deactivated by heat from cooking. You’re good.

    The only tid bit on this is what kind of venom and how long it has been in the meat. As the decay process can be rapidly increased by a venom especially hemotoxins.

    Went out fishing today with nothing but a bucket of minnows and my rod... Had way more fun that I thought I would with such limited tackle! Got some white bass and some freshwater drum.
    Using my ugly stik gx2 9 foot medium rod with a bobber, fishing the outlet of the power plant.

    Found my first Sauger this weekend.

    Also managed to hook a sturgeon with the walleye set up. That was a ride chasing it all over got a leader touch before the hook pulled. Definitely dont recommend trying that one on purpose.
