Show off your fish

Went out last night for some bobber fishing at the river. Put on a minnow and cast out, let my bobber drift until it gets into the shallow water. Ended up getting a little flathead catfish!

 

Took my son fishing yesterday evening at a local pond. Making some casts, not catching anything, my son walks over cast right next to me and catches this. “This is easy dad, why haven’t you caught anything?”

 

went bass feeschin on the Mighty Potomac...

 

That's a solid way to close out the open water season.

 

what species of fish ?

 

Northern pike. Been a minute since I have seen one of that caliber.

 

Just caught this monster with a bait cage full of half-eaten Dodger Dogs. Lifetime best!



Edit: and I bagged. Prior record was one.

We went out both days this weekend and it was a great time. My son can’t bait the hooks cast the big poles or take off the fish but he watches the tips and reels them in! Such a blast.
