Jeez you are going in deep... FAST!!! Modding already lol. Just try to stay with the wheel that you have for a while before going and spending another $550 on a new wheel. HAHA You can get really good with that wheel and enjoy it for a while especially modding stuff like that. :spending:

I want to change the spring setup on my G27 pedals. They are compatible with the whole logitech G series btw. GTEYE spring kit.

Having a manual shifter is great. Some games its better to use to shift paddles and keep the 6 speed shifter to secondary control functions like ebrake, launch control and stuff.(thats my rally racing setup) I also enjoy playing Snowrunner also and the shifter is amazing to use for controlling the crane lol.

I have an adapter on it's way for a custom wheel but still need to pick out a good wheel to use. We have a Summit Racing local here so I might head over there when it's time to buy a seat and wheel. They carry OMP stuff and that's what I got my eye on. Assetto Corsa was on sale for $4.99 so I picked that on up as well as Automobilista 2 which was also 60% off on Steam.

Im a little late here but I couldn't help but think of this after reading that..

And to stay on topic. My small collection that I left at my dads for my little sister (in middle school) and little brother (freshman in college) to enjoy. Woulda felt like a jerk taking these from them when I moved out years ago. Once the little sister is in college, or loses interest, I’ll make a dedicated game room and move them to my place.

I thought they quit supporting AC a long time ago? Does RSR still support official times?
NV. Had to switch to desktop mode. Looks like all my #1 records have been beat. Havn't played in a while, I bricked my fanatec wheel a while back

I got AC for the mods and actual track practice. Forza Horizon is fun but I also want to practice on real tracks. Maybe one day I'll have a track car to use and want the extra seat time under my belt. Also I need to drive on the Top Gear test track in a reasonably fast car.

Yea, it's still imho one of the most realistic sims out there. I played for hours upon hours.

How has the steam deck been so far? They definitely look really great but price is kinda up there for a handheld game system.

Q2 here .. Nothing yet . I was really looking forward to this . Then I ordered a onexplayer 1s and it broke within 5 hours and stopped charging. They luckily refunded my money.
    I ordered a 2022 Razer Blade with a 3080ti and a 12th gen i7 .
I think I may still get the Deck when I can whenever that may be. I noticed in cyberpunk they included a preset for the deck. How does it play?

I preordered this right when it was announced and got kicked back for q2 to receive it and now it says q3 is when i can get it. Now I'm thinking of just cancelling my order.

I found Cyberpunk to be difficult to play on the deck largely because of the controls. It’s too complex of a game for me to cripple myself with a controller. Things get pretty blurry at distance because of the settings, but it runs fine all things considered. I only fired it up to test and there’s no noticeable slowdowns for me when driving through the city at high speeds and instigating firefights. I definitely wouldn’t recommend playing it on the Deck but it can be done, which is incredible.

GTAV looks great and is smooth as could be.

I played through Portal on it and the gyro controls are impressive as a portable substitute for a keyboard and mouse. It’s great. I think Cyberpunk is just too complex to play without a keyboard. I don’t know how console players do it.

I also played one of the older Call of Juarez games because it is unsupported. It took a couple minutes of tinkering to get the controls working like I wanted and it was perfect after that.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also fantastic on the Deck.

All in all I have been blown away by what they pulled off for the price tag. It’s way better than it has any right to be.

Once I get an SD card for it I’m going to experiment with emulation and get Breath of the Wild running.

They emailed me yesterday and I payed for the steam deck . I got the 64 gb cheap one I don't mind a slightly longer load time . I've got tons of SD cards .

Just came across this, trying to do some research on game systems.

Long story short, stopped playing after my son was born 8 years ago. Got back into it cause a buddy of his had a PS4, and he loved it when he went over his house. So got myself one, used, Fifa 23 since that's what we're into, and now looking to upgrade the game system.

Torn between Xbox Series X and PS5.

Opinions from you guys who are experts, please?

I thought I had posted here before, but I guess not.
My setup is pretty much a sim racing rig I built out of 2x4, 2x8, and MDF. The keyboard tray swings over in front of me for most games, then swings away and I slide the seat forward for iRacing.
    [IMG]Untitled by Lee, on Flickr

a few weeks ago I decided to upgrade my CPU (PC built at the beginning of 2020), which led to needing a new motherboard, then while I was at it I added a GPU, then finally said screw it and built a whole new PC.

    CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
    MoBo: MSI B550 Tomahawk
GPU: MSI RX 6950 XT Gaming X Trio
    Memory: G-Skill 2x16GB
    Boot Drive: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2
    Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 2TB M.2

    [IMG]Untitled by Lee, on Flickr

Results have been pretty good. With high quality settings on Escape From Tarkov I'm getting between 120-140 FPS and feel like I can now see a lot farther across maps than I could before. iRacing gives me a steady 250-280FPS.
