I really want MTRs with Kevlar but I'm not a fan of the price or how many miles people are getting out of them. They don't seem to last. If they did though, I might consider them.

I know the price is pretty bad but how many miles are people getting? I always assumed they had a decent life especially considering the design isn't that aggressive. I haven't done all that much research on em

Of course I can't seem to find an answer, but when I researched them a while ago, I remember them having a ridiculous tread life.

Out of curiosity what are you looking for in tread life? Most I've seen with the mtrs are getting over 40,000 which is damn good for a mt

My thoughts are this (sorry it's long)

Here's the only reason the X3's seem appealing to me: price. They're $200 a pop from tire rack in size 285/75/16.

    The MTR's are $252
And the Toyo MT's are $234

$30-50 ain't much of a difference but when you're trying to buy 4-5 tires, it makes a dent in the wallet.

Realistically, I could get away with an All Terrain tire if I were super careful around mud. This is the route I may take.

My two competitors for my next tire are the K02's and the STT MAXX's. The K02's don't seem aggressive but seem to last the longest and are somewhat cheap. While the ST MAXX's seem to have an aggressive tread design, seem to last (not as long as K02's), but are more expensive and harder to find due to Coopers limited distributors.

The only real reason I'm looking at the X3's is because they are competing prices with All Terrains. If they have a comparable Price:Tread Life ratio, then I'll give them a try.
