KC Cyclones Rock lights from yotamafia

 

Did you use the harness supplied with the Ditch lights to hook up the OEM style switch? I'm looking to do the same with the G34s.

 

I’ve got 4 kc cyclones Amber that I’m wanting to mount underneath as rock lights. How do I run them all to the 5 pin relay and switch? I’ve got one figured out but I’m hesitant and can’t find anywhere how to run the 4 cyclones to the same 5 pin relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Surely each 2.5w light doesn’t have to have its own relay?

No. Run the (+) in parallel to your relay you will be fine. 4x2.5w @ 12 v is less than 1 amp.

 

4” round lzr kc hilites as ditch lights in dark! Clear and very bright! Just wish I could figure out the passenger side issue

 

What’s the issue, no voltage? Check polarity

 

They were working before when I tested them then I hooked them up and routed to the cab. I’ve recrimped all connections and even switched sides and still the driver side light only works

Are you getting power to the passenger side? Check the relay also.

 

Well I didn’t think about that initially since it was a new relay but just tried it with another new relay and same situation. Driver side works perfect. Passenger side no bueno.

so this just crossed my mind and I’m gonna ask most likely a stupid question but I’m trying to think of everything it could be possibly. So my switch has 5 pins. 2 negative on top 1 in middle and 2 on the bottom. I’m using a 4 pin relay... again I don’t see how it would be the problem since it did work before I had installed and routed into the truck cab. I really really love these kc hilites I just want it to work! Lol damnit. Btw I’m 99% sure it’s got nothing to do with quality or durability of these lights. They’re built of the highest quality. I answered my own stupid question already I know.

thing is I’ve got some kc hilite cyclones I’ve finally finished my harness and wiring for that I’m ready to get underneath with my Dsim module but I wanna resolve this issue before I start wiring up more aux lights to my truck and add another switch. I can totally see why mods are so addictive btw. I’ve been spending way too much time on my truck here lately lol jeeeez

Clear as mud. Do you have a volt meter? You need to trace the voltages until you find where a wire is loose or backwards. The switch likely operates the relay, so it seams to be working...so Check the voltage and polarity at the passenger KC connector, if you have 12v there check your polarity. If not check all your connections on that side (grounds and hot). If it worked when test fit you have introduced a connection problem most likely.
Do you have an ohm meter?

 

I don’t own a ohm meter but I can buy one tomorrow. So if I check at the kc connectors and it’s not 12v then that will mean I need to go back and trace every connection at t split and all other connections back to my aux box? Never used a ohm meter

 

ok. Do you have a friend that likes this kind of problem? A multi meter is not hard to use if you take the time to read the instructions. But yes you need to check your connections most likely.

 

Oh I think that I can figure out how to use it. Just wanna kinda know the process in shortest amount of steps possible per say

 

And sadly I’m pretty much the brains of the crew I run around with so nah No friends for help lol. Also I’ve recrimped every connector from the aux box to kc and put new female male connectors on them...

 

These are cheap and quick to tell if you have power. Cheaper option than a meter, but having the meter comes in handy. And yes, if you don't have power at the connector on the wiring harness at the light, you get to start tracing lines.
