Car was nice and in great shape. It wasnt going to win very many races against other sports cars, but it was damn sure fast enough for me. Still miss this car, and think about her most every day.

Took this pic the day I traded her in at the Toyota dealership.

Also, for those of you like myself that still miss their old ride. You can track where it is (or "STALK IT" as I call it LOL) by this website.

Nice little ricer for an old fart. The car was deceivingly fast. 3 speeding tickets in two years so I got rid of it.

I sold the Mazda 3 and my wife's Eddy Bauer Explorer, then gave her the Ranger FX4, and bought a 2008 TRD. She hated the Ranger, so I bought her a Sport Trac Limited that she wanted. She barrel-rolled the Sport Trac a month later. I bought her a 2003 Escape Limited with only 23,000 kms (in 2011). I then blew the engine in the '08 TRD and replaced it with the 2012.

    Phew! Talk about changing underwear!

This is a photo from Google images, not my actual one I had, but before my Tacoma, I had a 2000 Mercedes Benz E430... and man was it sweet. Black leather, nav system/premium sound system, xenon headlamps, all the bells and whistles. The thing was fully loaded. And that V8 sounded so mean and was pretty quick. The downside.... it was damn near the most unreliable car I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the thing was in the shop every month. After about 7 months of owning it, I racked up a repair bill that almost matched what the car cost, so I got rid of it, and my dad handed me down his 2008 Tacoma TRD Offroad double cab when he got a new Tacoma, and I couldn't be happier with it.

My first vehicle. Bought this new 3-door Toyota Yaris RS back in 2005 and drove it until summer 2015 (205,000+ km) when I found my Tacoma. At the time it was so new and funky that people would chat me up at red lights and gas stations asking about the gas mileage. They'd just come out so most people had never seen one before.

Never did anything to it aside from dipping the badges in its later years. It saw a lot of dirt roads, hauled a lot of gear and brush. No cruise control, not even an AUX input.

    It got about 800km (500 miles) to a 45L (12 gallon) tank.

This is my previous DD. 1997 Chevy Blazer. Gave it to my parents when I left for boot camp. They still have it. Just rolled over to 100k miles. (Before the legal beagles start barking, the headlight covers pop off for night use)

Is this one of the models where Audi put the timing chain at the rear of the engine?
