Thx brotha! I've got a DT Swiss wheel set(white rims/black spokes/ano red hubs) waiting to be put on once the DT rear axle I ordered comes in. Should look sweet after that.

Totally wanting to pull the trigger on a set of 2012 white dual crown, Kashima coated Fox 40's......but then I keep thinking about FINALLY replacing the oem Toyota am/fm deck & factory speakers in my Tacoma lmao.

Oh she can pedal her ass off. Lol. Made me look like a weenie uphill on our ride last weekend haha....She was right at my rear tire. Granted, my rear shock was at full squish killing most of my forward thrust but still. I guess her Brazilian Butt Lift video workouts pay off lmao. :D

Lol! She racks AND secures her own bike on my truck on our ride days. Man grips it on the front fork and seat post like I taught her to right into the bike rack. Total keeper!

Yeah they didn't start putting the 1.5's on the Bullits until the mid '08-'09 frames. I totally lucked out on mine bc the dude advertised it as an "early 2008" model but he was wrong when I saw it in person it had the 1.5 tube.

SwingCase, driver side. PVC Bike rack. Aftermarket stereo.

Ignore the "7" fork" info on that, and look at the Axle to Crown (A-C) height.

Its listed at 544mm, which is the same as the current batch of 160mm forks (Fox 36, Lyrik, etc are listed at 545 )

Honestly, I dont know that I would put a 765mm+ fork on the older Bullets... not with the current 160mm forks being as good as they are. Plus, your seat tube will be stupid slack, and the BB will get pretty high - over 15"...

Hi guys, don't know if this is the best place to ask this question - but i'll give it a try.

I'm interested in buying my first bike for city and light trail cycling. Something I can install a seat on for my son who's 2yrs old. Entry level bike, a good brand/quality around the $300-$400 range.

Not looking to spend too much money at first as i am not sure if this will turn into a serious hobby, just looking for a new activity for my son and I.

Any info or suggestions would help - thanks in advance!

Maybe this Giant could be something that may work for you although it msrp's for $539. Brand name bikes are tough to find in the $300-400 range without bottom of the barrel components, although still preferable over walmart type of bikes. Also try to negotiate the price just like a car. At least you should be able to get some accesories for free, like the seat for your son or fenders, cheap computer etc.

    http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-ca/bikes/model/roam.2/9785/49385/

To fit your budget, your best bet would be to find a store that still has some 2010 or 2011 models left. You can save decent $ most of the time. Also look on kijiji for used ones. Hope that helps a bit.

As it said above this post, definitely scour Craigslist and Pinkbike. Plenty of 2-3 year old bikes outfitted with high quality components at your price range.
