Maiden voyage on my brand new road bike entailed riding thru not one but two full downpour thunderstorms. Got caught out in the wide ass open too so just kept riding........IMO snow = great maiden voyage for it. Have fun, get it dirty, keep the rubber side down.

Thanks, to be completely honest I did not refresh it, I bought it from a friend who did it all, but I definitely appreciate it. It is a very solid bike.

Eddie, beautiful Enduro man! Enjoy. I'm in the process of upgrading components on my Titus Motolite (just added Crossmax Sx and set up tubeless-so neat!) and looking for a crankset. I noticed a few rigs earlier in this thread with SLX cranks. Any opinions guys? I love the look of these, but am mildly concerned that their too low end for my build. SLX weight looks rather reasonable however. Also anyone had Truvativ Noir carbon cranks? I want to upgrade to a solid mid to hi end spec over the next year with plans to eventually sell Titus frame and pick up a carbon frame (Nomad, BlurLT or possibly Mojo) to build up.

Also, Inkjunky: your front disc may be squealing due to front wheel lateral flex. You said it's most noticeable when turning, so you be getting just enough torque down through the spokes to the hub to allow some contact. Check and make sure front bearings don't have excess play. And make sure spokes aren't loosening. This is more common with traditional dropouts with skewer vs. the more solid thru axle which is found its way from gravity rigs all the way down to xc.

Here's my '09 Spesh RockHopper Expert. Picked it up on CL for $600. Now has Captain Control's... the fast traxx weren't really working out for how/where i ride. the CC's are def slower though :)

Thanks, it's almost a full time job keeping all four up and running.

As for your SLX crankset question, while they are below XTR and XT on the Shimano rankings, they are an excellent crankset that offer great stiffness at a very reasonable weight. I ran them on a Bank, Double, and my Nomad (before the XTRs) and had zero complaints with them.
