the avid XX i rode, had nooo pressure, i dont think it was that the reach was off. Maybe the breaks were just overheated? idk maybe they hadnt been bled since it was on a demo bike but the brakes made my time on the trek slash 9 worse than on the remedy 9.8 which had XT.

i personally rock some avid elixir 5s and they are okay. id still prefer something else. i really want to try some formula brakes too.

    Yeah.
Well, I don't know what to say other than I don't use my brakes that much because I like to go real fast :brianr:

Anyway, I have heard similar opinions, but my experience has been completely different so far. I have had my original set of Elixir CR's for 4 years with no issues. My newer bike came with them and they feel EXACTLY the same. Makes it easy to switch between bikes.

They got popular pretty fast and maybe had some quality control issues on the lower models. They are part of SRAM and may be getting pushed along with the other components.

I do like the looks of the Shimano lineup, though, and would do a full SLX setup in a heartbeat -- best value out there IMO. Unless you are a weight weenie.

    Yeah.
LOL, that guy not making the turn and in the weeds at about 4:30! I thought he was hitting a trail.

Tip on the chest mount, use it or not: adjust the straps to put the camera as high on your chest as you can. For me, this aims it higher. Not being critical, just something I learned that gave better results for me.

Great videos, btw, I enjoy the tours of the Korean countryside.

Try the bar mount. There's another version of it that's good for a roll cage that might work too. Either would allow you the chance to try different camera positions.

    Good luck!

Seat post, forward or rear work. Lots of other spots work too.

As much as I like the chesty mount, gotta say, 100% chesty is boring.
