I work ay a police station and I've seen a krytonite lock cut before. I didst match that video but a lot if the time the owner could have been a little smarter.

Just remember to make sure your bike is locked better then the one next to it :p

Sucks. What's sad is the cops have cameras everywhere yet thieves still get away with it.

    Thanks for posting.

Ok here to report that I did the Niner ride and WOW!!! That is all I can say. I started off on the WFO9 and then hit up the Jet RDO9. I liked them both, they are both 2 separate bikes the WFO was very long the rake was hard to get used to and it felt very big. I was riding a size L. The suspension was super soft and I bottomed out the entire 5.5 In front travel a couple times. The steering was very touch since the front rake and front tire were so far out (if you know what I mean). The WFO was effortless, the bike made me look good.

The Jet RDO9 was the exact opposite. It was much more compact, and tight to my fit. It was a size XL, and felt like a L but the L would have been much more manageable. The bike did whatever I wanted it to do if I had to go around something which was as bad as climbing up a rock it did it. If I wanted to take the front wheel off the ground and muscle the front tire back onto the trail it did it. The suspension was super tight and firm. It had a remote lockout, I didn't notice any difference since it was super firm. I liked the Jet RDO a little better for my riding style. The WFO was super cushy and more designed for downhill. I am no expert this is merely my opinion and I have been out of the mt biking game for 10 years.

I just got an email from Niner with the prices on it. The WFO is really not too bad, especially compared to the Jet RDO 9. I am seriously considering a niner. I will have to get a couple years out of my new bike though.

I am planning on ditching my Trek Cobia 29er hard tail and in the market for a 26" FS. I am really not looking to go over $2500 but the local Trek dealer has some demo Remedy 9.9 carbons that retail for $8300 down to $3999. I rode one and fell in love but I am having a tough time dropping that much dough. I have been lurking through the pink bike classifieds as well.

It's tough to justify that much on a bike. I agree. I looked at the quality of components, the build and how long I'd keep my Nomad for. I also thought about upgrades that could extend the life of the bike. It was really hard for me to drop that kind of money (more actually) but I think it was worth it.

I think that as long as you're going to ride it and enjoy it, it'll be worth the money.

yeah I had a half priced Specialized S Works team race bike 29 in my sights went from 10k to 5k. I didnt get that bike obviously. As I get back into it and get good again, I am sure I will upgrade but I give it a couple of years. I will be doing a lot of research in the mean time. I think I would get a FS 29 as of right now. I have already done lots of research. I want to go to as many demo days as I can. The bike shop near me had a Specialized demo day that I missed but I did make the Niner one which was cool.

Demo days are awesome. And don't forget that some bike shops also offer demos-those might cost but there are some available.

When I am ready to get a bike I would definitely consider a demo bike. I was actually thinking about making an offer on one of the bikes I was on but I just got a brand new bike that I havent even broken in yet. In time!!!

I actually am looking at a couple of Nomads on pink bike but haven't ridden one yet. Competitivecyclist.com has a Nickel with all SRAM X9 components for $2399 right now but I don't know how well SC's APP suspension system works.
