I took my new bike out on one of my favorite trails yesterday. I ran into a few of these obstacles along the wayResizedImage_1356823889339_7590498ef02b9e7e5128a2d44899097f6a5e649f.jpg
I should have looked at the bulletin board before I left.IMG_20121229_113036_1181_zps7bb66911_5b45912cd10ff643ade15c385f4cf37b3e975f51.jpg

Of course when I got back I saw five horse trailers when horses are prohibited on non motorized trails until April. Unfortunately, there just isn't enough money to pay for enforcement.

Used to live in Reston, I remember a nice paved trail along side of one of the major roads to Reston Town Center. I used to work at Clyde's... some good food there!!! Did not know of offroad trails there.

I have velociraptors on one of my bikes and love them. They hold very well on off camber wet stuff for the flat knobs on them. They work great in rocky mix and will only cake up so much with mud because of the spacing. Great tires for the price. Also just scored some 2.1 Exiwolfs for 46.00 a pair. Have heard good stuff but haven't ridden them yet other than down the street testing out new build, dialing in shifters and brakes. Can't go wrong with Panaracer Fire XC Pros, have those on a few bikes and they work great in all conditions. Kenda Nevegals are good from what I hear but are on the heavy side and a bit more money. Of course there are more expensive lighter race stuff, just stickin to what was asked about tho........

Lemieux, nice looking bikes you have all the bases covered there. I am only at the stumpjumper for now, maybe in the Spring getting another bike. Probably a demo niner maybe the RIP or WFO....

Makes me want to go tubeless. And glue my tires to my rims. And screw them as well.
