I'm thinking about picking up a Bronson for the rear and a Weirwolf for the front

That might be a better choice.

thats a cool deal! i dont have experience with either tire but personally i like a more aggressive/fat tire in the front and trail/aggressive xc tire in the rear. the honey badger looks more like a faster rolling, less aggressive tire where the hans dampf is a pretty aggressive AM tire. I would leave the HD in the front and honey badger in the rear. unless the honey badger is wider. which still would be a tough choice because it looks like the honey badger would have a little less bite than the HD. this is all from looking at the treads though
yeah man, keep an eye on pinkbike, i think thats where my friend found it. it was local too. I always see v-dubs with roof racks so its should be too long before you find a deal

I ordered the tires, but I'm going to have to wait awhile to try them out, until I get my fork back and my new pump arrives

I need to get a new wheel set or at least a set to swap in and out. I had a cheaper set of mavvic for my 26 but now I'm on a 29er. Any recommendations? I'm sick of getting my wheels trued after every couple of rides. I do mostly single track but its rocky single track with drop offs here in CO.

I completely f*cked up my rear stock wheel and got it replaced with a Mavic A317 disc, and its stayed true for the last 3 rides. Got half of it payed for through warranty so only payed $150. Im happy with it and its not $1k

Yeah I'm not paying 1k. I'm just sick of paying $60 to get my wheels trued and the brakes adjusted every 3-5 rides.

Shits outta my budget the wife would kill me.

Lol dont blame you. But I'd recommend that wheel, ive had a crash, cased a jump or two :anonymous: and hit it pretty hard off some roots coming from a drop and its held up fine

those wheels are sick! more the hubs than the rims but they have like a 100 something engagement points iirc. they are super loud because of it, i thought my hub was loud but then someone with i9's roles up and i cant hear myself think! hahaha everyone at the shop i go to rocks them, part of it is because one of the guys who works at i9 is from there but still great wheels, i would lace them up to some stans rims, probably a little cheaper than the i9 rims and still a good set

bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
    www.southernwheelworks.com

he is a local guy here, who is a mechanical engineer by day, and this is his side business. Has built many a wheel, and recently built up a set of stan's arch ex mounted to hope pro 2 hubs. I bought the rims and hubs, and had him do the rest. check out the site or drop him a line. You can spend as much or as little as you want, my rims/hubs/tires in the end set me back $600, so not too dear, and he will guarantee the work.:)
