It's a great company and they really do make awesome bikes. Chris is a really cool guy, and I often ride with a few of their employees..

Yeah my chances are slim before my trip. I've just been riding the trails by my house while my wife is home with the baby. Nothing near enough to prepare. Sad day.

That's way better than nothing. I like doing some flat almost road riding at a steady pace. Base building I guess.

I just read the review of the Turner Flux in MBA. I do want badly.

I plan on putting in a 20 miler on Sunday. The crappy part is it is all fire roads up due to the trails being in such horrible shape after we got hammered with 9 inches of rain in March. Last weekend I actually had to work hard just to pedal back down the trails.

Getting back into mountain biking after three years away. Last i was looking at was a Trek Fuel EX 5 and Specialized Camber, both 26ers, around $1,500.

NOW, $1,500 gets and entry level 29er hard tail!!!! What happened to the industry? Metal price go up? Geeze.

So, looking for XC or AM bike, full suspension between $1,600-2,100, new or used. I ride trails with little elevation change in Houston, a lot of sand, roots and sometimes rocks. Not out of the picture to vacation with it to Austin with ledges and rocks or up to Colorado for trail riding.

Whats hot on the scene right now?

The MBA guys loved the entry level Cannondale Rush. It is a FS 29er more geared towards xc duty. Other than that at your price point for a FS you would do better buying used.
