Exactly, for every three blue nomads for sale pinkbike theres one black one, luckily my friend is getting a full ride from trek so hes selling me his black one for pretty cheap and its a large black ;) pike, x01 kit, im set, I personally think the black with red or white lettering would look killer too, I think some of the syndicate riders have it like that

Just picked up a SJ FSR Comp Carbon. Haven't gotten to ride it much with the weather up here lately, but like it so far. Wish I had the coin for a Bronson or some of the new Norcos. Some nice bikes around here.

Also, made a bike rack with some leftover wood and hardware. Picked up some Rockymounts with out the mounting hardware to save ~ 20$ a piece. Came out nice, was hoping to get 4 bikes on it but looks like I only have space for 3. I like how this holds the bikes lower as well.

sweet stumpy! id say thats a pretty nice bike especially since its carbon, you can always upgrade components as they break or you get bored haha.

it looks like a 29er so im guessing thats why he can't leave the wheel on. i could barely keep my wheel on with my 26 fuel ex before I got my tool box

Install the mounts at an angle, you could fit 4-6 (road bikes are tougher)
Predrill multiple holes and just use a wing nut on the bottom

Went that route before my rack... Take's 1/5th of the time to put the bikes in with the rack.;)

YEP it's a 29er and wont fit straight with the wheels on. They're long SOBs.

Also, thanks, it's my first 29er. Pretty different than the 26 I used to have. Bike shop kinda talked me into it even though I was leaning towards a 650b. First upgrade is most likely a dropper post, command or reverb. I hear Cane Creak is making a inline air for the EVO link. Kinda mad I didn't go with the EVO but I got this for a steal so can't complain too much. Inline air w/ EVO link, Pike, brakes, wheels all down the line at some point. Want pedals and shoes first.

Thanks for the idea! I was thinking of making one for the rear as well and putting them in alternating positions (front to back). Any worry about putting awkward forces on the bikes with the mounts angled?

I rode the 29er on an XC trail and definitely felt like it was too much bike for that trail but I was also used to my 26in. I'm torn between 29 and 27.5 for my next bike. I still need a dropper too, a few weeks ago I rode this super pedally but really fast and techincal downhill section and man I was wishing I had a dropper.

on a side note I just picked up a loaner bike. I took mine in to get suspension service and found out there were some problem with the fork so they sent it in to fox. I got a 2014 fuel ex 8 29er and I get the feeling Im not going to want to take it back haha

Just picked up a yeti sb5c. Bike rides soooo well. Coming off a hard tail so any fully would have felt great going down but this bike climbs amazing as well. Pics tomorrow!

Do it! Just don't take your wallet with you like I did. Haha! Realistically I rode a ton of bikes before I settled on this one. Not an impulse buy. It was down to a pivot mach 4c or the yeti. The extra inch of squish made a difference and when in trail mode on the rear shock it climbs just as well. Noticeably stiffer in the rear as well. Great bike!
